was the Olympia a sucess ?
« on: October 02, 2006, 04:19:12 PM »

So much attention was given to the recent PDI show in NYC

there's very little discussion on whether AMI/Weider OLYMPIA Weekend was a hit or a miss

Military bases in a 500 mile radius were offered free tickets.

ANyone know if the word that 2/3 of tickets were comped is true?

Awesome show, but I remember hearing "100 people at the PDI show", when there were in reality 1350 in the seats.  I'm sure we'll have Fair & Balanced coverage of this one ;)

Internet bodybuilding is the way of the future, plain and simple.

The potential is limitless.  Leagues can be set.  People can compete back to back.  Sponsors can prove their products.  The message boards can fire it all up.  EVERYONE gets to take place.

As far as I am concerned, this is the way to go.  It was very fun to me and everyone involved has had fun with the entire thing.

240,
Perhaps we should get to work...

Adam - yes, you guys should go to work on this.  Count me in too.  Together I'm sure we can make it as far in this industry as anyone.  You guys were pioneers with the Mr. Getbig contest.

Well I was thinking of the training aspect as well.

Competitors could secure different trainers who do the diet and all, so it is an all out competition with them as well.

The audience can get involved with voting and of course the usual antics.  Everyone could learn different techniques and ways people are getting in shape as they are all posted.

Leagues could be created where you are required to compete,no matter what your shape is, so you could have a yearly standing.  You win some, you lose some, every competition would be interesting that way.  People could either choose to hold their conditioning and rack up points, or come slightly off while trying to gain more mass, but placing second and so on and then taking a few firsts for an overall point standing win.  This is where the strategy element would come in.

I have so many more possibilites.  Its endless....
