Won't be interesting, Weider and the IFBB will see to it that Mr. O wins.  Ronnie will never reign again with those 3 injuries he is done.... ::)

Ronnie is still threat , look after 2002 he came back and set a new standard , Ronnie is still Ronnie.

On PBW They said Ronnie is confirmed for the tour and so is Jay.

Let's put it in this way...
I am not sure which factor was more important in Ronnie's defeat, his not perfect conditioning or the problems with the shoulder/lat...
It's up to the judges now, if conditioning was the main issue, then Ronnie can win in Europe. If the real problem was the back, then he won't have a chance this year.

NO! This is a major fallacy that almost everyone has fallen into.

Ronnie did not set a new standard in 2003. He did NOT put on 40lbs of muscle between the 2002 and 2003 Mr. Olympias. Ronnie was 275lbs and in the shape of his life 18days out of the 2002 mr. olympia. He was in superior condition to the 2003O WITHOUT the gut. 2002 was the new standard. Now is a completely different challenge for Ronnie. He has several injuries and needs a lot more than simply fixing his contest prep to regain the crown

What the....Ronnie's still the best! Lok at Jay's arms and quads in comparison to Ronnie as well as Ronnie's thickness...came in off yet the mass he holds is far superior, esp at this tier of Pro Bb.

If Manion has a clue...he'll make sure the judges pick Ronnie over Jay in some of the events.  It's good business for the IFBB and the O if Ronnie decides to comeback in 2007.  Anyway...he made sure his son's athletes did well.  ;)

Ronnie SHOULD win all 3.

He should but I doubt it will happen.
In that case Jay would make history as the Mr.O. who lost more times during his reigning year. I doubt the IFBB hierarchies want this.

I saw him at mortons on sunday night with melvin before I flew out.  I think one BIG thing people are forgetting is that the O was done over 2 days.  That is the first time in 10 years these guys have had to prepare for a show over 2 nights.  I think that messed some people up.  I was at the night show on friday for prejudging.  I didn't go to the night show on saturday.  From the pictures, I think he looked better on friday night.

He thinks the judges will give him the shaft?  All he has to do is drop a few pounds of water and he will be unstoppable.

nope.  i doubt it.

he seems to be going downhill fast.

between his injuries and his conditioning getting worse and worse the past 2 years.

From various sources, Ronnie is going to prepare and be ready for the rematch this weekend in three shows in Europe vs. Jay Cutler.  Jay is intent on beating him again and again and again. Will Ronnie let that happen? I don't think so.

It will be interesting that these European shows have just become a huge draw for many out there, seeing the rematch of Ronnie vs. Jay.

The real problem for me is Ronnie's obvoius torn back. I dont think that can be fixed in a week. If the european judges gives undue attention to that, then ronnie could be beaten again in the european shows. Ronnie can change his conditioning in a week, and present a package near his 2003 Mr O condition. If ronnie's loss was purely based on condition other than the obvious muscle tear, then the european show is no show, Ronnie will beat Jay in all three

I dont think anyone disputes the fact that Ronnie was off. He was off, holding some water, and not near his previous outing. What Jay accomplished the past week end was to beat Ronnie who was off. Next year when the injuries are off, you will see a different ronnie. Remember the package he presented in 2003 after the loss to Big G at the GNC show in 2002. Believe you me, next year will be tight and he will blow everybody out
