I can't decide, was Ronnie better in 98 or 99?

Ronnie was definitely drier in 98 than 99. I think he was better from the front in 99, but better from the back in 98. Big downside for 98 was the gyno. Also, his arms were better in 99.

I wasn't at the 98 show cause it was in New York but Ronnies 2 best looks that I've seen in person were 99 and 2003   with 03 being just the best body ever!

I mean rude as in; rude & cruel & embarrassing to all other bodybuilders because of the insane muscularity and absurdity of his mass. I mean it in a good way.

I'm just calling it the prayer shot to differentiate it from the other equally rude shots. No religious connotations expressed or implied.

Nah, I still think Ronnie was drier at the 98O. Ronnie's back looks more watery in 99, albeit larger.

Ronnie in his prime was the freak to end all freaks.  Sadly, he came into this Mr. Olympia on the advice of Chad to hit close to 300.  That is a mistake.  The only thing large and in charge was his gut.  If he would have come in dry at 280, torn lat and all, he would have eaten Gutler.  No contest when Ronnie is on.  His shape and taper crush Gutler.  Moreover, his legs top to knees  are unbeatable.  This year, they were average at best; I did not see a cut to save Big Ron's life.  I guess there is next year or our memories.

He was untouchable back then except for his calves. I don't see how anyone will ever be better. Too bad for Ronnie time waits for no man.

Yes by the looks of it he looked his best in 99 and i can admit that he really was utterly unbeatable there, it made me start thinking of something... would it be possible to maintain the same look for years and keep bringing that package to the stage or would the type of things he has to take to get that good eventually start to make you deteriorate, even if you stayed on the same dosage.

If he'd have looked like he does in those pictures at this olympia he probably would still be mr olympia today.
