Knew this girl who was on the (a?) dance team when she was in college. she was always dating guys who weren't in the kind of shape she was. she told me that it made her feel better about herself.

so, i was wondering, what do women think about:

1. dating someone who isn't as fit as they are.

2. what happens when you're on a hike (or some similar activity), and the woman has to wait for the man to recuperate. (Happened to me when I was a kid . . . I participated in organized sports, but my friend's mom kicked my ass on a hike . . . she also kicked her son's ass, and he had been on the cross-country team.)

funny my wife is a runner also. I used to run with her but it got to the point where she was running and pushing the kid and talking to me and not out of breath..I had to stop..

My wife has always been a cardio freak, hockey, running,rollerblading,ect me I bang at the gym and for the most part gave up running serious after I left the corp.I Think its great if you can find someone who likes to stay active (whatever there choice is) because its just another thing you can share together.Unlike my brother who always complained when he dated a girl that he wanted one that worked out but when he met his current wife she was a runner...until they got married and she blew up and he stoped caring...sad really.

That being said I think its not allot different from any hobby, as long as you can be supportive of each other regardless of what you do it really is whats important.

I'm the one that looks like I've had 3 kids and not my wife! $:-\$

She still looks like she's been training even though she hasn't worked out since our first was born. She was a heptathlete in college.

i have to admit that fit women cause me some anxieties.

i love women who run b/c of their legs, but they can usually run me off my feet too as my body is not as efficient as theirs are when it comes to running.

then I start thinking about what is more manly, being able to squat a shitload, or being able to run ten miles like it was nothing.

Me too! I have been struggling all my life. When I was a kid/young teenager I was seriously skinny, then when I hit my older teens I ballooned out. My biggest was size 11/12, smallest 3/4. I am now between a 5/6 & 7/8 depending on the designer. Man...I wanna be a 3/4 again, lol.

up until 17 i was decently fit. Soccer, swim team tennis team baseball and football kept me busy. then got hurt and stopped playing asfter senior year. Blew uop big time. trying to get back to the 175 180 range.

i am married to a former marine, she was in decent shape before she got pregnant with my son, but after the pregnancy(2yrsago) she has kept on with the sdame wieght and she saysd now that she wqants to try and get back into shape but i doubt she will. it really sucks that she won't at least trty. i am a very healthy guy i run workout 7 days a week and she just sits around. always breathing heavy and she has no desire to be active. i would say that i do not like bieng as much more in shape than her. but i can't be mad or say anything because she would take it as me not loving her or it would be my fault because i got her pregnant

Try involving her with some of your activities. Mike and I go to the gym together every day (well mostly every day) and we go for walks every night for cardio which is nice because it's just the two of us and we can catch up on the days events.

yeah she just stays on the comp she won't work out or do anything with me i think she gets intimidated or something, i have tried to help her and get her involved but she gets mad and doesn't want me to get involved because she thinks i am looking down on her or know more than her.
