How can we call something gay bashing when we don't know when someone is gay?

It seems on this board, someone is called gay or a fag just to insult them, while not really
having any foreknowledge that the person is or is not of that orientation.  It's just another
way of calling denigrating someone, like calling out someone's mother.

I've never heard someone use a racial slur in that same way.  No one would call someone
else the 'n'-word as an insult, unless they KNEW that the person was a person of color.
If they use it otherwise, it's in the same way it is used in urban culture - more as a term of
endearment, not an insult. I've heard urban white kids call other white kids the 'n'-word, but
again, it's all part of the urban, hip-hop culture, not an insult.

I agree but to me the same is for people that use racist remarks...They are just ignorant...But the truth is they make up a huge % of our population..I honestly believe that i myself am a better person because of what i hear and read from others...Imagine if we all lived in a political correct world...I believe it would make for an angrier world...Closet racist ect...Putting it all out in the open is much better in my opinion then hiding it...We as a society can take care of these people and opinions on our own...

I have always thought the free for all, wild west atmosphere on this board was one of its strengths.  True, the level of awareness of some of the posts borders on the Neanderthal, but people have been able to say exactly what they think. The politically incorrect hate language has sometimes disclosed some uncomfortable truths about bodybuilding that hasn't been acknowledged anywhere else--namely, that there is a lot of homophobic hatred among bodybuilders & their fans, that men often deeply resent women of any shape & kind, & that bodybuilding as a competitive & fan activity is often deeply racist (on all sides, not just white racism--I've seen some anti-white racism at competitions as well).

I would rather read racist, homophobic & sexist posts than see censorship imposed.  With that censorship, a lot of of the freewheeling spirit of the board will be lost, & we can just call it Mayhem II.

Reading your other posts, TheBlockHead, you are making good points. If you do not know the definition of a word that is posted, don’t be ashamed, look it up man! Just like any successful black man could tell you, educating yourself is not a bad thing!(That insight is derived from the teachings of Roger Wilkins.) If I don’t know something being discussed, I look it up and learn more.
