No it wasn't with a shirt.  It was all raw.

The bench comp vid is on the pirate bay if you can figure out how to handle downloading torrents.

I believe it was our own Chris Mason who was a side judge/dude sitting in a chair during the thing.

Bit disappointing how many competitors they had but interesting nonetheless.  Had a guy going for 650 pound raw, didn't get it though.

And the reps were clean.. none of this bullshit 1000 pound 1 inch press.

I don't know daddywaddy, powerlifters rarely look "juiced to the gills".

Only one fat guy I think.

Thankfully the fact it was RAW meant maybe the blimps stayed away :)

this just goes to show what a joke these bench shirts and bench meets are these days, the raw bench press really hasn't gone up in thirty years at all, Kazmaier, Reinhoudt, Cole, Young, Jim Williams and Pat Casey were doing 600 in the 1970's.
Jaejonna rows 125!!

Was this with a bench shirt?

That was raw and AFTER he took 3 tries with over 600 lbs!

My company was the title sponsor for the event.  I will post some videos in a minute.

Hornstra is a beast, he trains at the Gold's that I work out at and the kid is 24, and I've seen him do 585 for 3 on incline, 675 for 1 on flat, he curls 120's for 6, and shoulder presses 455 for reps.  He is an animal, and one day he will be stronger than anybody.
