I was hoping for a MUCH better place for him than what he got. 2nd at the ASC, I was hoping he'd crack top 5. he came in looking soft, which is really odd for him. he is always one of the grainiest on stage.

He had some good size apart from arms and back but his conditioning really was horrible.

Not trying to be negative here, but, maybe the drug regimen he was using is starting to become ineffective as his body adapts to it? Having said that I hope he is ok.

possible, but i doubt it would happen that quickly just since march from the AC.

he was off and his posing sucks.

I hope you are correct. I have found his conditioning since he turned pro to be so incredible that it would seem it is only a matter of time until his body just implodes upon itself. As freaky and impressive as he has been in the past, it would seem that history dictates that conditioning like that is achievable for short durations of time. We have already lost some people to drugs, I hope he isn't another.

i'm hoping he takes a good break, and possibly skips the spring season to kick ass in the summer and fall (like in '05 when he tore his tricep).

Don't understand what happened. He looked insane 10 days out. More veins in his vastus medialis than Cutler has in his entire body. Hmmm...

I think he just missed it for the Olympia. It happens to the best of them. Branch will be back, better than ever.

I plan on being there as well. Could be the two-day thing messed Branch up. We all know peaking twice a year is very difficult.

Branch looks awesome there, that was 10 days out?? is it just me, or do most guys looks even better without the spray on tan shit? I've always thought Jay looks bigger and more striated when hes just got a medium tan.

you could see by the pre-contest pictures that branch looked off

crazy vascularity doesn't mean he is leaner than usual

also his arms are starting to look too small for his body again as he gained muscle everywhere exept in the arms in the last few months

he looked way better at the ASC

He was in very good condition. He was just holding a little water. With his shape he has to be bone dry.

What happened to Branch? I told you in the spring the guy is a very good B level bodybuilder because of his shape, or lack of it! Bloated ,pale ,NO Biceps, vascular (hows your blood pressure dude?) with no real separation or striations other than his outrageous legs. Looks like a powerlifter with low bodyfat, not Mr.Olympia to five.

To place well at shows, Branch needs to be at 100%.. If he doesn't he will slip bigtime.. He just doesn't have the aesthetics to get away with being at less than 100% conditioned.. IMO

I donno, you have to look like a bodybuilder not a powerlifter to place SECOND at one of the biggest pro shows in the industry. so i dissagree with the above statement.
