Melvin Anthony didn't win this years Olympia, he is the closest thing we have to Flex today and he has better back than Flex ever did. He did look awesome though.

Flex never had the back to win the olympia, compared to Yates and Coleman he was soft and narrow. The only pose I have him winning in 98 over Coleman was the ab-thigh.

I do not think Melvin has a better back than flex, although both have great taper and separation.

IMO, Flex in 1993 shape could have beat everyone on the Olympia stage this year.

You know what's retarded, how people say he's not olympia material or that his back is not big enough, blah blah blah. It's so retarded how the olympia is judged as a back contest, this is bodybuilding, judge everything, condiitoning, size, proportion, etc, dont just base the contest on the back. Flex Wheeler has the most pleasing physique to look at, it has no weaknesses, he should have won.

I don't think some of you realise just how narrow Flex was from the back...Standing next to Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman, Flex would have looked tiny...Remember that the Olympia is won from the back...Flex would not have been in the top 6...
