I was bitching that Obama would claim that "collective work and responsibility" are american traits and traditions when that is utter fucking bullshit in the context of Kwanzaa and it being a code word for marxism and socialism as he himself defined it.

Collective work= working together..

stop being a pussy and acting like a woman on a period.. trying to read too deep into something. Blacks need to work together and need to take responsibility for actions.. like Bill Cosby said..

I was part of a kwanza Ceremony and it had nothing to do with politics..

Yeah - it sounds nice but that is not the intent.  "Collectivism", in how it has been used by people like obama, the guy who founded this, etc - means a thing you really are clueless about.

Sorry Mal - Obama has always talked about "collective" this and that in terms of "transforming" this nation from one of individal rights to a "collective" one.

I don't believe in "collective" anything.    Fuck that shit.   Obama, the founder of Kwanza, whoever, can take their "collective" asses and jump off a bridge with it.

But why do you give a fuck if it helps to bring together a community for good.. what the hell is the problem. Its not like we are saying "kill whitey".. its just something to focus on working together and rasing a commuity.. jesus h christ a lot of bitchassness on this thread about something that isnt that damn serious

"wahhh i want a holiday too"

fuck

Most people really don't see it like that though. When you see things on a daily basis such as BET, NAACP,United Negro College Fund, Kwanza, affirmitive action, etc. you become a bit jaded and begin to  ::) at things based solely on race, no matter if they are for a good cause or not. I mean, even the NFL requires teams to interview a black coach regardless of the owners intentions. I would venture to say most white people feal the same way as 333, maybe not so passionately, but to some extent. If you use it for good like you say, then major props to you and your community. But you got to look at the other side and see what others see sometimes.

Mike Singletary was fired yesterday by the 49r's, so lets say the owner has made up his mind and has been able to bring Bill Cowher(white guy, ex Steeler head coach) to San Francisco. So, done deal, they agree on a salary the whole deal. Before he can bring in Cowher, he HAS to interview at least one black head coach applicant (The Rooney rule). It's a fairly new league policy, with good intentions I suppose. But when these guys are shelling out millions of dollars and multi year contracts, I'm sure they have in mind who they want. White, black, green or yellow.

are you for or against this

I'm still not sure I understand your point in this sentence

I mean, even the NFL requires teams to interview a black coach regardless of the owners intentions.

The problem with some of the kooks around here... Is either you're with us, or youre a goddam commie.

When the fuck is this? 1970?

Hell, our biggest trading partner is COMMUNIST china. Why is everyone so worried about the "commies" when the commies are the ones making their TVs, refrigerators, Blu-Ray Players, and everything else?

You don't like "commies"? Stop buying the shit they make.

Meaning if the owner has his mind made up on who he will hire(assuming the hiree is white)the owner would still have to interview a black candidate due to the Rooney Rule, even if he has zero intentions of hiring the black candidate. I think it is silly, because like I said earlier, with big money contracts involved the owner is going to hire the best guy for the job. And color will not matter at that point.
