21a-279(a)  POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS  U Felony  1 1/30/2008  Not Guilty   
21a-279(b)  POSS HALLUCINOGEN/>4 OZ MRJANA  U Felony  1 1/30/2008  Not Guilty   
21a-277(b)  SALE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE  U Felony  1 1/30/2008  Not Guilty   
21a-279(b)  POSS HALLUCINOGEN/>4 OZ MRJANA  U Felony  1 1/30/2008  Not Guilty   
21a-277(c)  OPERATION OF DRUG FACTORY  U Felony  1 1/30/2008  Not Guilty 

I was set up and sold directly to undercover officers. The amount sold was 1ounce/$400. House was raided, they found like 12ounces, some trim/leaves, and a rubbermade shroom farm. They also took my legally owned shotgun. So... any legal experts here. My lawyer says I may avoid jail time.

Uhhhhh.... if you were found "not guilty" of all charges, why would you be facing anything?

I would not be worried about that now.  If it is a first offense thing you may be OK.  5 Years Probation maybe.

The bigger question is who the fuck ratted you out to begin with?  I would hunt that bastard down and make him suffer before finally killing him.

my years of high profile legal cases and my various law degrees tell me that "not guilty" means you are not going to jail.

Ahhh....  what you posted looked like the verdict, not the plea.  So you're charged with 6 felonies, and they've got you dead to rights?  You're fucked.   Unless you've got the world's greatest lawyer and he gets everything knocked down to misdemeanors, you'll see some jail time.

See if they'll plea with you and get that thrown off.

I mean, shit, look at Hide, he had like 9 felonies and he pled down to I think 1 misdemeanor?

This is a big one too. I think it can get you 25 years here in Michigan.

been arrested a couple times. Convicted of reckless driving once, destruction of property(no conviction). Nothing too bad.

Wow, that sucks for you guys.

It sounds like they have him dead nuts, he might as well plea bargain and see if he can get the big ones thrown out, and do as little time as possible.

I'm not a real expert, but I'd say the drug laws here suck. Definitely compared to Cali. Think New York City(45mins north)

Hide wasn't manufacturing and selling drugs.  And his was juice, not recs.  They knew he was just a juice head bringing his stash with him, not a drug dealer, that's why he got off with nothing.

It really depends how many of those felonies his lawyer can get dropped or knocked down to misdemenors, but I'd bet he get some jail.  Too bad he was growing it himself and has no big fish to rat out...  that could help him negotiate quite a bit.
