To me the Godfather 1 & 2 are one and two respectively.  For being made in 1972 & 1974 they really stand the test of time.  Please, carve out some time and watch them. 

Casino over Goodfellas isn't blasphemy.  I've actually said that had Casino come out 1st it would be held in higher regard than Goodfellas.  Bronx Tale is absolutely up there as well.  The Irishman is very good if you haven't watched that one yet.  What about Kill The Irishman about Cleveland's Irish Danny Green.  I highly recommend that one too.  One of my favorites too and it only has marginal Italian mafia references is American Gangster about Frank Lucas.  Check that one out if you haven't already.  Shit, I almost forgot about Donny Brasco and The Departed.
