Police cannot legally ask someone what their exemption is. They can only ask if they have an exemption.

People can just lie and claim an exemption. No law allows police to enforce masks. If they do so, and the person does have an exemption, that's assault.

So I am telling everyone what they need to do:

Just claim an exemption. Ask the police officer [if they arrive] to check with their superior. Their superior will simply explain what I just did.

Does this allow people to lie about exemptions?

But that's just what Canadian law is.

If you don't like that, change the law. Under current law, masks cannot be enforced.

Alberta has only had 2,737 ICU admissions this entire pandemic. Ontario has had 9,146 ICU admissions this entire pandemic.

This is how many ICU admissions in the time frame that they were wide open, last fall [see attachment below].
