Time will tell. It's pretty clear Putin is gravely ill and Russia's artillery advantage will diminish over the coming months. Plenty of twists left in this saga.
Why would Russia's artillery advantage diminish?

This is how economic wars are won.

Parts of Australia were just advised to expect rolling blackouts.

They have said don’t run air conditioning in all rooms, don’t run pool pumps, turn off laptops, turn off TVs when not in use.

They’ll get energy consumption and consumer consumption right down and starve out Russia and China. Reallocation of income to food and energy away from consumer products and travel.

After we finish this deflationary wave the next inflationary wave will rip your face off. Russia and China will be crushed!
Russia is providing gas to China and India as well.

I would not bank on Russia getting crushed. They've been through hard times before. But we'll see what happens.

No, it causes direct conflict with the Russians. If Russia quickly defeats Ukraine, the war is over, Ukraine goes back to Russia, and the world moves on. By arming Ukrainians, more die (on both sides), and the threat of nuclear war escalates although I don't think there will be one.

Your assumption is this ends with the Ukraine and then returns to Normal which is incorrect. Putin making a move means he has to go all the way, there is no return to normal, he needs to invade multiple countries after The Ukraine in order to block the paths where invasion to a Russia comes from.

Russia is already being sanctioned to death. What the EU and US are doing via sanctions on oil is forcing a halt on oil deliveries. The oil drills keep pumping oil but There is limited storage capacity for what comes out and once maxed out Russia will need to shut down production and close the oil pipelines. Once it’s shut off the pipelines freeze and without skilled labour (everyone already exited Russia) they can’t turn the oil fields back on. Hence Putin’s hand is forced because if he doesn’t keep going he is fucked anyway.

While all this is going on we get the inflationary and deflationary waves to crack the food supply and global consumption. Food price hikes will hit hard from October onwards. I have said before with China, they aren’t invading anyone because they can’t move when  Energy is to expensive and no food.

The oil part will be dead once Russia is forced to shutdown the pipelines.

India is at a catch 22. They need investment from the west but they were pissed about the coal/carbon limits. They will have their hand forced to boycott Russia or have the west no longer invest in their country. 2.2B people who can’t feed themselves right now, just like Africa.

Russia is using resources, manpower while being sanctioned. Everyone else outside of The Ukraine is using weapons (no problem) and The Ukrainian manpower. if Russia wins against The Ukraine they have to face off against NATO countries who are fresh vs Russia from 9 months of war.

Let’s see where it is by December this year.

For us, we will reduce our carbon footprint and you will be happy…… it’ll be forced on us whether we like it or not……  oh and the food prices….. oh Lordy Lordy, just wait for October and you’ll see…… we are all about to go on a diet. You just wait for fast food places to suddenly run out of food, jack prices then go out of business.

Source for that? What's clear to be is that Biden's dementia is a grave danger to USA. How many in the news are talking about Biden's dementia?

Don't believe the fake news Automation.  ;D

My thoughts too. All this negative talk on Russia using old supplies etc., but they are expected to take control in the coming weeks.

NATO outside of baltic states and central Europe nations like Poland have no actual, physical armies to field. Germany....UK.....all paper.

Going to be crazy either way.

We in the USA depend on fertilizer to grow crops because vast amounts of soil is depleted from decades of over farming.... fertilizer cost go to the moon or go short of supply....watch out. Civil strife on the way...this police that a lot of dopes think are their friends will quickly learn what the truth of the matter is.

Be armed
Be prepared.

We have a lot more weapons we can send the Ukes.

Not anywhere near being out.

The US is also restarting production of Javelins and Stingers.

Russia’s Oil Revenue Soars Despite Sanctions, Study Finds

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine triggered global condemnation and tough sanctions aimed at denting Moscow’s war chest. Yet Russia’s revenues from fossil fuels, by far its biggest export, soared to records in the first 100 days of its war on Ukraine, driven by a windfall from oil sales amid surging prices, a new analysis shows.

Russia earned what is very likely a record 93 billion euros in revenue from exports of oil, gas and coal in the first 100 days of the country’s invasion of Ukraine, according to data analyzed by the Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air, a research organization based in Helsinki, Finland. About two-thirds of those earnings, the equivalent of about $97 billion, came from oil, and most of the remainder from natural gas.

“The current rate of revenue is unprecedented, because prices are unprecedented, and export volumes are close to their highest levels on record,” said Lauri Myllyvirta, an analyst who led the center’s research.

I've been reading up on Russia's nuclear capabilities. As scary as the Satan II rocket is the Poseidon is even worse. I never even thought of creating a nuke specifically to be used underwater to create a tsunami.

Some of this may be propaganda but we do know they have tested some of these bombs in northern Russia so it probably isn't. The US should spend more money on nukes and phase out a large portion of obsolete military equipment and forces.

I just checked and the Ruble has gained a lot against the Dollar. Now at 56 Ruble for 1 dollar. For reference in March 2022 it was around 140 Ruble per Dollar. And this gain comes after the dollar has strengthened against the Euro and Pound.

US fighters 'captured' by Russian forces in Ukraine

Two former US servicemen have been captured during fighting with Russian forces in Ukraine, The Telegraph has been told.

The pair were taken prisoner during a fierce battle outside the north-east city of Kharkiv last week, according to comrades who were fighting alongside them.

Alexander Drueke, 39, and Andy Huynh, 27, had been serving as volunteers with a regular Ukrainian army unit. They are believed to be the first US servicemen to end up as Russian prisoners of war.

They join a growing number of Western military volunteers captured by Russian forces, including at least two Britons.

Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner have already been told they face the death penalty as "mercenaries".

The capture of the two Americans will be diplomatically sensitive as the Kremlin may seek to use it as proof that America is becoming directly involved in the war. Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, is likely to demand significant concessions to release them.

A comrade of the two men, who asked not to be named, told The Telegraph said that they had been captured after running into a much larger Russian force during a battle last Thursday.

Taking a one dimensional view of the effectiveness of sanctions (the ruble dollar exchange) would lead you to such an erroneous conclusion.

Artificially bolstering a currency is always an option for a government, but the real picture looks very different.

Closing their markets, ceasing reports on standard economic measures are huge red flags that things are not going well and are only going to get worse for Russians. If you are interested, this is a good read:
