BJ lost the last fight cause of separated ribs not his conditioning. And he beat GSP to but lost the decisison. Just a question, have you seen BJ train. Like I thought, NO. BJ's a heck of a fighter. Would he beat GSP if they fought again? Don't know. I think GSP and Hughes are more comfortable at 170 than Penn, however. My understanding is that BJ is more suited to fight at 155.

Ironically, he still doesn't have anything remotely close to peak conditioning. I know you think you're God Onlyme, but he doesn't show up to his fights in the best shape and it shows in the later rounds, notwithstanding the last Hughes fight and his injuries. You can stop sucking dick any time you feel like it.

I think GSP's talent has surpassed Matt. Matt couldn't take him down, which means GSP has gotten a lot stronger. His conditioning look tremendous...bouncing on his toes with excellent footwork.

Based on the outcomes of the 2 fights, they're even. It's not unusual for the challenger to be hungrier, now it will be reversed.

GSP is a so much more talented than anyone in the UFC right now its not even funny...he can't beat anyone in any facet of the game. His ground game and his stand-up is top notch. In his last fight he dominated in every facet...He punched hughes, he kicked his thighs, he kicked the shit out of his head, he swept the leg (karate kid style), he nailed a ridiculous superman AND he laid some sick ass elbows....

Its far more "real" than a sport like boxing. Boxing allows people to take way more blows than they'd be able to bare knuckled. Even though they don't get knocked out in boxing, they're still absorbing the momentum of the blow. MMA shows you that when you're in a real fight you're not gonna be able to take too many vicious strikes

They weren't square kicks to the balls there, bright spot. They were thigh kicks that slid up the leg. The only part that caught Hughes was GSP's toes, not his entire foot moving with full velocity. Stop making excuses and shut the fuck up. Hughes lost.

There's no groupies in this thread. I doubt many of these people have seen more than 3 UFC fights in their lifetime. It wasn't pointed out because it played no role in the fight. To top off your astounding observation, Hughes was given as much time as he wanted, so he made the decision himself for when to start the fight again. Your argument holds no water, whatsoever. Hughes tried to stand and fight with St. Pierre which was a mistake. Thats the reason for the loss. Same thing happened when they were standing the 1st fight!
On the ground, its still a tough match for Hughes but it could go either way. Matt did not try to take him down enough and was content to stand with St. Pierre for too long. Only one of the leg kicks hit Matt in the groin and I don't believe it had any significant effect on the fight. Matt reportedly agreed so end of that question.
When they fight again, Matt will have a different strategy. Any combination of Hughes, St. Pierre and Penn fighting is very exciting.
