This picture was taken after a trip to outback steakhouse, where justin had two 20 ounce steaks, 4 servings of mashed potatoes, 6 grilled chicken breasts, 2 chocolate milkshakes with waxy maize mixed in, a huge piece of chocolate cake with a brownie on the side a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and then on the drive home he was still hungry so he stopped at Chipotle for a couple burrito bols.
You can imagine how his waist could look slightly bigger than usual at that point...

Chest and back have been a work in progress for me for years. I think my back has come up over the last few years, and I've been trying to bring up my chest recently.
I was always more interested in training for football, and strength sports than bodybuilding, so sometimes I let that mentality take over in my training, and get away from working a muscle as opposed to moving more weight...
Calves and legs are something I'm always working on as well. All my training partners have had great legs and calves, so I can take comfort in knowing my training is working for someone at least. lol
I should be at the Optimum Nutrition booth at the Arnold this year, and will have copies of my new training video available, should anyone be interested. I am going to give a discount to all people who pre-order a video before production is finalized. There is no payment, just add your name to the thread I started about the video, and you will automatically be discounted when you decide to purchase.

How big was Justin just 2-3 months ago? I think these pictures mark the first time he's resembled a bodybuilder moreso than a football player. I think Trop just broke on through to the other side's what it looks like just happened. ;D

Yeh im pretty sure your delts are overpowering your chest workouts, so i would say you need to focus on isolating chest exercsies and alot of cable work.. Other then that everything else looks great, i have not seen your back so i can't comment on that. You have a great future in the sport!, by the way how old are you J?

I wish they'd go back to the old school method of doing powerlifting/strongman training for a couple years BEFORE doing the massive drug schedules. Get a solid foundation. You can really tell a difference.
Gary Taylor was one of the best examples of this - couple years plifting, olympic lifting, and then did bbing -- and had one of the most solid, awesome builds around.

I agree with you on this one Croatch. This guy looks great and all, but the druggy, get-inflated-muscles-real-quick, look is getting old and tired. Dennis Wolf and this guy are probably good drug buds.
I wish they'd go back to the old school method of doing powerlifting/strongman training for a couple years BEFORE doing the massive drug schedules. Get a solid foundation. You can really tell a difference.
Gary Taylor was one of the best examples of this - couple years plifting, olympic lifting, and then did bbing -- and had one of the most solid, awesome builds around.

I trained for the first 8 years of my lifting for football. All my training was focused on strength and explosiveness. I didn't begin training for bodybuilding until about 2002 or so. Up until then, it was all football related.
I went to a small college. We didn't even have a lat pulldown, cable crossover, and the only machines were a hammer strength push press machine, and a hammer strength shrug/upright row machine that we would use as a subsitute for cleans.
Whether that had an influence on my current physique may not be true, but my background is all power training. Which is still what I enjoy now. I do enjoy the challenge of getting into contest shape, but I began bbing because it was a good way to keep me from being fat.
Just so everyone knows, I don't need to be pampered. Truth be told, I've probably said some of the same things about bodybuilders when I was younger. And I've certainly held the assumption that bbers were pretty boys who just go for a pump and want to look pretty. So, that doesn't bother me. Everyone has to do what they enjoy.

hahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are you high???? i think some of that synthol is going to your brain, have you seen the videos of this guy training? 315 for 12 easy reps on barbell inclines, 500 for 8 on deep front squats, 635 for 3 off the floor deadlifts, 585 for 8 deep reps on barbell squats, comparing a 27 year old guy to Gary Taylor, one of the strongest men who ever lived isn't fair.

the bolded statement is true for the most part, the risks outweigh the benifits in most cases, maybe they were doing the flats as part of thier cruise or maybe for one blast but DC pretty much doesn't want anyone hurting themselves on a flat bench.

PM DC and ask him if I got the knowledge, I asked him months ago if I could answer question regarding his system, I did it out of respect to him and respect to his program...if he told me "no, you don't know what your talking about" then I would never say a word about him or his program.

Maybe you are right, it's hard to predict. Trey Brewer has much potential as well. Those two guys are only what? 21 years old. Only time will tell!

Trey Brewer is on alot more drugs, that's for sure. Yeah only time will tell, but Steve already beat him once:)

Yeah but look at before and after pics of Trey since that show (it's rediculous). I know Steve has made improvements as well but Trey has a much bigger frame. Also you say Trey is on more drugs but how would you know? You can't tell just by looking at the difference between the two and say one is on more than the other. Trey was a big boy before he ever took juice. Either way they both have a great potential in the sport!

I think he has a good future in the sport but I don't believe he will ever have a chance to win Mr. O. Think about all the greats who have never won a title! Just my opinion.

Speculations are fun, and all you can go on at this point, as he's only been competing for a few years.
Both of them have a good 10 years or more before they're even at their peaks. So, in the end it will be who can stay motivated to pursue bodybuilding the longest.
They both have a ton of potential. It is exciting to see young guys doing well in bodybuilding again. For most of bodybuilding's history, there have been plenty of young guys coming up and making big entrances. That hasn't happened for the better part of a decade until Phil Heath came along.
Now there are more than a few young guys who are climbing the ranks quickly. It makes things more exciting, at least in my opinion.
