About damn time!  Dave is going for broke at the North American Masters again this year.  I'm hoping for a pro card.

Flex Wheeler said in MD that Dave's quads looked like they were slashed with a Ginzu knife at the North Americans last year.  He took his class in Masters (Heavyweights) & got into the top 5 in the open competition there.

We took this pic for my website at the Masters Nationals 6 weeks before the North American last year.  Dave peaked for the North Am; this was a dry run for that show.

totally agree with you. im not blind. i know exactly where my faults lie. i dont have the best looking muscle bellies in my arms. its always been that way and i do the best with what ive been given, which isnt much ,genetically. if i supinate my left hand in that pose, the 2 arms match better, appearence-wise. i just wasnt hitting it that way in that pic. there is no oil there, though. just 25 years of curls.

now go back to insulting me cause i like that better!! tell me i have "epic" something, or "brutal" something else...,,c'mon!!

Your bis are similar in structure to Levrones.  His don't peak that great either.  Conditioning is always unreal.

So are you just doing the NA's this year?  You doing the open again or just Masters?  I would assume both since you hit top 5 last time. I'm sure you'll be in the running in the open and definately in Masters.  Good luck.

thanks...i work hard for my clients. these are regular people, not competitive bodybuilders and i dont expect them to eat and train like i do. some of them copmpete, but for the rest, i give them meal plans and workouts they can live with and continue long after the program is over.

Dave:

Glad to see you getting press- even on getbig- haha... it's like they say- even bad press is good press  ;D.

Seriously you look great- I first saw you a few mos back on graphicmuscle on coverage of 2006 North American.  Rediculous conditioning.  I'm doing my first show this coming November- I'm a little taller than you and will probably weigh about 30lbs less... ha... but hope I can get something close to your conditioning.

For the dumb-a$$ that was saying something about the quad separation- take a look at Dave's quads in the backstage pics on graphicmuscle- you'll have to eat your words.

Keep up the great work Dave.

Mike

Dave looked insanely ripped at the North Americans last year. He came in so dry & hard, he should have won the overall. This year will be the one. Dave's competed for a long time. And he's at his best now at age 42. He's outlasted a lot of guys who've turned pro. And he looks better than a lot of pros and amateurs. Not too many competitors are still competing AND looking this good that started in the late 80's/early 90's. Dave's at his peak. Time is on his side now.

Congrats. on the MD article. The list of competitions is very impressive. Dave's truly a hard-working dedicated bodybuilder, who's paid his dues.

You got a great build, but you did ask for it -
This pic is gayer than riding shotgun to Little Richard in a convertible pink Miata with your hand on his thigh as you drive through downtown San Francisco, meanwhile both of your silk pastel scarves flap in the cool summer breeze like flags over brokeback mountain.

Dave, when Andy Warhol got bad reviews for his shows in New York newspapers, he would say to friends, "Just count the inches of copy in the review.  Any notice is good notice."  If the haters are after you here, then you've arrived.  & we all know most of these duffers are mouse potatoes married to their ISPs.

THAT is important to me. my bro filmed me playing last night and the footage should end up being in raising the bar 2.

Despite the stupidity made possible by social technologies, I think the public exchanges made on these discussion boards work to the good for the most part.  I can edit out the idiocy & retain the interesting stuff.   I've enjoyed sharing stuff on Get Big, & the wild-west atmosphere here sometimes allows me to post things I wouldn't on other boards.

As great an athlete as Dave is, he is an even better person. One of the best I know, and proud to know him as a friend and brother.

His intensity and dedication to the sport is second to none. A threepeat at the NA masters division hw class and a pro card for overall is well within the realm of possibility and within his grasp.

Go, Pulcinator!
