Now that we know that 99,9% of all women prefer guys with little or NO muscle, one has to wonder, why does so many guys try to build muscle if that will turn girls off?
Are they closet homosexuals ?
Are they insecure and wants to impress other MALES?
Are they just bullied kids that wants to get bigger to defend themselves?
Or all the above?

You mean the ILLUSION that you are big and powerful feels good? Because we know for a fact that the majority of people with a lot of muscle is neither.
Are you really big, if you're not tall?
And are you really strong, if you don't have functional strength?

Sure it's obviously easy to spot somebody who is simply tall, and if you cannot pick up the keg you are not stong.

Brother... there is only very very very view who will get so big that girls acctually wouldn'tgo out with them or fuckem for that matter, you and me know that most of us reach an (from and avearage joe point of view) big size, but nothing to speak of in the proffessinal bodybuilding world.
Woman like a bit of muscle, they just don't like the way Pro Bodybuilder look like in contest shape since they are ignorant to the fact that most of the time they never look like this.

And there is good reason behind it, man with a healty looking tan and muscle (not to many don't understand me wrong) look healty and productive.

good point. there are some legitimate reasons to lift, competitive bodybuilding being one of them. but this is not the reason the majority lift in a gym.

Where do most people "see" celebrities? In movies/music videos/etc.... The responsibility of a casting agent is to select individuals that would fit the script. Thats why Arnold is a better fit for the Terminator vs. Brat Pitt. I know what u are saying about the "lean guys at the beach that get the girls & nice cars.." the laguna beach type. i know i know. And i do agree to a point where most avg. joes go to the gym to get bigger = get more women. BUT, there are THAT MANY MORE guys that are completely satisfied with doing it only for themselves and no one else.

The answer can only be this - theyre not interested in getting laid, at least not with women.
There's other reasons why they lift weights and want to gain muscle.
They doesn't necessarily have to be homosexual, although probably a lot of them are, as I talked about in the beginning of this thread it can also be an issue of insecurity etc.

Well Hans (pictured on page one) at one point could have become a Pro Surfer in Australia but chose the bodybuilding route because he decided he wanted to get bigger and that type of body does not surf...i will say, though, both body types are SEXY...lean with abs or BIG with abs.

yes. getting big (or bigger) has nothing to do with women, in fact it probably will make them score less with women, but they think it's worth it for "other" reasons

I'm not gonna lie... Part of the reason I want to get big is to appear tougher infront of people, since I've always been skinny. Other reason is to boost my self confidence infront of people in general, since I'd be not only the average size but bigger than average for males my age.
Other reason is I'd like to compete one day, and you need muscle for that... unless you're Goodrum.

there's hardly a point in trying to bring up exceptions. we both know what the male model ideal look like and that muscles is a big no-no. this is the ideal man when it comes to fashion, movies, commercials etc

Another thing, fact is that even when you re muscular,handsome, rich, and smarter than the average joe, people will STILL HATE on you,especially if you re successful.
To sum it all, whatever you do to look better/impress people, you re always the slave of what the others may think in the end , and most of the time they will hate on you whatever you do.
Look at a guy like jay cutler, he s smarter than everyone think; cause he simply dont give a flying f**k about what the others may say, think, cause he knows 99% of people will simply be jealous of him.
Thats why he sticks to his life, his girl, and dont seem to boether much about anything else.
Most of the time people who workout or do others stuff, want to be noticed, and once they are, they figure out that the only thing they got is mostly negative attention.
I think the smartest option in the end is to do everything for You and only Yourself. Cause even your loved ones dont really care about you.
Everyone is alone in his own body, prisoner of his own perceptions. You d better love yourself and dont give a f**k about the others; Think about your own survival, your own sucess, take care of those who will join you (mostly cause you provide em with protection).
And don't care about what the others may say.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WORLD YOU LIVE IN DUDE, BUT YOU NEED TO SERIOUSLY PAY ATTENTION TO THE COUPLES IN THE WORLD...ESPECIALLY AMERICA.

Your status in Hollywood or in the show business is based on connections and your bank account. Any Actor would get really buff for a period of time for a movie role, but that doesn't mean that he or she's a devoted fitness fan. After the movies is done, they pretty much lay back from the gym and be normal again. Most actors don't seems to give a fcuk about looking jacked and all. a few others like Vin diesel and others, would look pretty decent year round,whether they're preparing for a Role or not. Dwayne Johnson said that he has to loose a bit of muscle in other for him to play a certain role, but he still remain faithful to the gym lifestyle
