I'm fat--I'm 268 pounds and a good 28% bf. And at my age I know this isnt good. So my firend, who is fat has bet me a large (anything is large for me) chunk of cash for us to lose weight. I have to hit 230 by November 15 and he has to go 225-195 in that frame. He has gone 245-225 so far and I havent started so my initial losses should be a good chunk. Any fatties out there got some inspiration?

Good luck Avesher. I was 220lbs some years back [ew!] and I can tell you I feel so much better and it was worth every bit of energy to lose the weight. Trust me, go for it......
Inspiration? Once you get started and start dropping weight that will inspire you. The first step is the hardest, after that it is all downhill. So get yourself started.....

I once did 254 down to 215 but it was 12 years ago, but I am stoked for how good it will feel to lose the weight---I just feel bogged down and lethargic these days--plus I am bipolar and being lighter and healthier could only help

Not one bit. In fact, there is a pic of me at about 200lbs or so floating around. My god....I hope that one never surfaces on the board. Bear in mind at my height, 220lbs is completely obese. I was straight up disgusting.

So great, you've done it before. Look ahead, what is now is temporary.....just getting into a regime is going to make you feel so less lethargic quite quickly. Then the weight will start melting off and it will only get better. What are your plans for tomorrow? There is no time to start like the present! Cardio bright and early? ;D

yeah i do cardio 7 am tomorrow--i actually like the am cardio--i get addicted to it--great start to the day---my absolute biggest issue and possibly only issue is late night eating

Yeah the late night eating is a bitch. On workout days I drink half a gallon of milk before going to bed, which means I'm up missing all night and gaining a bit of fat while I sleep. On non-workout days I try to counter that with eating lots of seafood before bed and no carbs. No carbs after 5 pm seems to be a pretty standard rule for losing fat weight pretty fast.

I gave up trying to not eat at night, and just ate super clean during the day, trained hard and allowed for it - sensibly done. I smashed huge amounts of sugar free jello [10 cals a serving] and popsicles I made myself from sugar free drink mix [like 5 cals ea]. I'm from the tropics...hot as hell....so of course the cold things hit the spot. I also started drinking huge amounts of water at night, which made me get up at night, but at least it stopped me from eating :D
Try just working with your strengths, like since you are cool with cardio...focus on doing as much of that as you can, maybe double per day....and minimize the negatives, find very low cal things you can eat small amounts of at night, and eat super clean during the day.

First step towards recovery is acceptance. Unlike that douche bag, you know what looks good and what doesn't. Keep it in mind and bust your ass. 7 am cardio's fun actually. It feels good running like that when you know the rest of the world is still sleeping. A nice accomplishment of sorts.

Well, if late night is your issue........minimize that problem. Think of all the low carb/cal foods that you find tolerable and keep those in stock. Try not to eat too much late at night, but have good options handy for when you bail out....SF jello, celery, salads fixings, SF gum etc.
Have you tried the Waldenfarms line of products? They are all like sub 1 calorie per serving. Some are *really* foul, but others are ok. Can't expect great taste for under 1 calorie.....but they are a lifesaver to me.

No man, no offense taken at all. I wish I didn't smoke myself. Tried to quit a couple times but just came right back. I keep it down to 5-7 cigs a day, which isn't too bad. I never go higher than 10 reps for sets in squats because I don't want to get a heart attack and die mid-workout. I love lifting weights, but I can think of ten different things I'd rather be doing when I die. ;D

I am sure he was devastated. I also heard that Magoo wouldn't use his shit products, not only cuz he prefers the taste of mangoo, but he didn't want to lose any size using that garbage.

Ahhh..no ass kissing,but try chewing gum.what works for me is sunflower seeds.a handfull takes time to break open and eat and helps big time with cravings.
