Title: Can Jay get in the same condition as last year?
Post by: El Diablo Blanco on September 25, 2007, 11:45:53 AM
I remember reading that Jay had a stomach Flu leading up to the Olympia and that led him to drop some weight but in the process he dropped  aton of water and looked so shredded.  I know that after a week long flu that I feel light, skin tight and barely hold any water from being so dehydrated.
Can he come in that tight and dialed in without the unfortunate luck from the flu?

Can Jay EVER get his arms to look better, quads to match, slim waist, or vasularity?  :-\

I can't believe this point has been overlooked for so long.  Everyone just assumes Jay's going to show up with the same condition he had last year.  ::)

As far as I'm concerned it's "hit or miss" with him....he NEVER has hit the conditioning he had in '01.  :-[

But since he is the current Mr O... ::)  For Jay's sake, just pray that Ronnie DOESN'T come in shape  ;)

I think the REAL question should be, Can Ronnie regain his former condition?  If that's the case, it won't matter how Jay looks....

If Ronnie "brings it" like he did in 2003 it's game over for Cutler. If not then Cutler only has to be within 10% of last years condition & the show is his if history has taught us anything.

Everyone talks like only two guys are competing...wouldnt you like to see Victor Martinez show up huge with a miniscule waist shredded and hand both of them their asses....just a thought ;)

why does it even matter when jay has already been given the winning nod, do you guys really think the judges and industry will give ronnie the win, even if he did deserve it.................they are doing to ronnie what mlb did to canseco.......sad to see.......I hope ronnie makes the entire lineup look like crap.

If Vince can, I don't see why Cutler couldn't?

But it's okay that one side of Cutler's whole body is bigger than the other ::)

dearth brought up another point, everyone involved or tied to the olympia has this in-grained notion ronnie is competing with half an arm, and half a back, and with that how can he win.....its sad to see that everyone has basically shut the door on ronnie.  When I first met ronnie for the very first time it was in 1999, and he was a great guy, we were at golds in venice and he was huge, I had a talk with him and he was cool enough to encourage me to have a good workout, I know most of the pros who trained at golds over the years, but actually ronnie was the easiest to approach and talk to.  I wish him good luck, and jay also.........okay dave(so tell jay I wished him the best when you report this post to him).

you shouldn't be so easily influenced by what chad nichols (coleman propaganda machine) says,
and try to actually look at the photos.

its funny how you'll post pictures of 98, 96 versions of ronnie thinking that he's going to magically
bring his physique back to what it used to be.

So you're saying that Cutler doesn't have any imbalances?  That's funny.

I'm a realist. I've already stated I think Jay is going to win again, but that doesn't mean he will ever be as great as Coleman was at his peak. If Ronnie comes in like he did at the GP's, which isn't a stretch, he's better than Jay......even though Jay will still win :P

It's too bad politics has to screw up Ronnie's chances to make history with #9.  When Jay wins (unfortunately he will, no matter how he looks), just watch everyone jump on the bandwagon about how shitty Ronnie looks, even if he comes in in peak condition.

I don't seem to understand it myself. What IS so GREAT about Jay's physique ? I personally believe Jay should've Won the Olympia Title back in 2002 when he had a very appealing physique ... you really CAN'T say that now, though.  :-\

At least I can't.

jay will be in shape, pics I've seen show striated outer quads, great abs-even though he has a big waist and all the other signs that he's coming along as planned.  Ronnie even in shape can't show the type of detail he used to, even without his lat injury his back is a shadow of what it used to be detail wise as are his quads.
