I used to eat a lot of bacon for breakfast but it is high in sodium which is not conducive to epic leans.

You mean high in fats..

Sodium has nothing to do with getting lean...It matters only the last 3 days before a competition.  ;)

Sodium causes you to retain water hope this helps.

Bacon is very high in it, two slices typically have 20% of the RDA.  Hope this helps too.

You get used to it - I don't have a very varied palate anyway and it just so happens that my favourite foods, like chicken, steak, rice, etc, also happen to be good for bodybuilding.

I'm not getting into a debate right now, but fat (including saturated) is actually good for your heart and cholesterol.  Inflammation is the real problem, and it's not caused by eating fat.
