well, lots of these rock and roll guys have been doing it for years and somehow, they manage not to overdosing and somehow they're able to control their craving/obsession for drugs. I would say that they're not that helpless......but, when drugs take away your life, you are as helpless as they come........steven tyler, mcjagger, and everyone of those guys did/still doing drugs, and they won't find them dead in a hotel room with a needle in their arms anytime soon

that's because they want to recreate the unity and harmony of their parents union but cant. So they use art, drawings, lyrics, making music, singing, playing sports etc and try to become perfect in what they do, to create/recreate the original harmony of love when they were newborns/childs.
