Yes or no?
In the cases of these places being shut down by the government, all the consumers knew what they were buying and wanted to buy it.
-
Yes.

Yeah it's ok to buy chicken processed at factories but not ok to buy chicken processed outdoors that has 20 to 30 times less bacteria.

Yes.

Only if they are fully aware of the risk of getting sick (For example in the case of a starving homeless person having no other option of food except raw milk where he might get salmonella) and still were willing to drink it
I still think it should be against the law though, most people aren't aware of the dangers and therefore don't meet the "fully aware of the risk" criterion. If people are fully aware, then the law should be changed.

I wouldn't be surprised, Hugo if this is all about some new law designed to squeeze out small daires.

Homeless life expetancy is probably low for a lot of reasons, I doubt Raw Milk is one of them. These places that are being shut down by the government are like clubs you join specifically to buy raw products and I think they are labeled even though it's the reason for joining the club to begin with. Probably not many people peddling raw milk to the homeless on the streets lol...

That's my belief, that a lot of this stuff over the years gets designed to have that outcome as a benefit to the big companies. It's a long argument to go through all of that but yes, that case can really be made for the new food saftey shit coming soon.

my answer was a hypothetical ??? you really thought I was citing a reason for the death of homeless people?
I was saying imagine a homeless person who has no other food and will certainly starve to death unless he can get raw milk. I would say that the law saying "It is illegal to sell (or give) raw milk" would not be justified. If the Hypothetical homeless person A said "I know I might get sick, but damnit I'm about to die so I want raw milk", then the law saying it was impermissible would not be justified.
Wasn't this thread about legal paternalism? ???

Yes.
What if they're uninsured, and hospitalized because of their raw milk consumption? ???

No I didn't, I was just talking about what you said.

You can eat raw fish, don't see any problem with raw milk.
Give them the obligatory warning and serve up!

I think it's the law that raw fish must be frozen prior to serving.

In the USA the FDA in it's infinite wisdom has decided that the almost negligible risk of absorbing parasites should be totally eliminated. Fish that is intended to be consumed in its raw form, has to be deep-frozen first, by law, while freezing does not kill nematodes. Luckily, the FDA has no jurisdiction over the retail operation in general; "the serving of sushi does not fall under their purview". Also see the FDA on seafood
Strangly, the FDA does not mind that the risk of absorbing mutagenic HCA from cooked fish is 100%; cooked fish always contains mutagenic HCA

Yep, totally. The FDA does a poor job regulating our food as it is. The last thing they need to worry about is real food products. Fu*k they allow 30% cellulose into 'food' there is no basis for them to even begin to say you can not eat something natural and raw.

Where's Vince Gironda when you need him?

Yes! I also consume raw eggs as in home-made ice cream. Of course those are fresh from my own organic free-range hens.
