Some of the best films are foreign...better plot/subplot...action when you need it, and better acting

Great opportunity to learn a second language

yea I get that.. I like foreign languages.. I pride myself on having a decent vocabulary in Spanish, Bulgarian, thai, viet, Japanese and Italian.. but shit, when i'm "multi-tasking", I don't have time to be looking up at the tv read the subtitles when i'm trying to measure shit. lol.

Most of the English dubbing is horrible, I prefer the subtitles.

they aren't there at the expense of english movies. it just means instead of having 10000 english-only films you have 20000 films, 10000 of which are in english. more selection = better, doesn't it?
shit, the asian film scene is INCREDIBLE. if you want background viewing, fire up American Dad (that's my go-to while i'm working), but when it's time to sit and watch a film, i'll take something like I Saw the Devil, Man from Nowhere, or Oldboy (the film my avatar's from).

x2 on Oldboy. One of my all time favourites and a must watch for everyone especially since the Spike Lee American remake is coming soon. I enjoyed I saw the Devil, especially the stabbing scene in the car with the camera panning 360 8)
