No i am no beast i do not have the traditional bodybuilder physique a little bottom heavy. There were guys and friends who were heavier and could out lift me quiet easy at my X gym.
As i have said in a previous post im 290 with a 40 inch waist and have not trained in 4 months, Kamali training.Next cycle i am going to be fat and enormous like my idol Bob Sapp aiming for 340.

Thank you.
I'd like to thank the McGriddle for making this moment possible.

Before I wanted to get bigger because I was skinny and I got up to 198lbs at one point, but I was eating way too much and made myself sick a lot of times.
Now I relax with my diet and train to feel better and stay lean year round. Not worth it to spend all my time eating as much as I can. I have fun working out and I don't feel pressure to be a certain weight or whatever.
Also being 175lbs at 5' 7" may not be impressive to some of you meatheads but everyone that sees me notices my body and compliments me on it.

striclty for pink and all man sauce

There's a woman we'd all die for.
Could be a wife, a sister, a mother.
My cause has sweet buns, mediocre protein content, and comes in a #10 meal.
I'd soak up bullets all night for that bitch.

wow good job...i have a friend who had the same thing.

One thing that really motivates me about training is that it keeps me out of the rut of mediocrity that so many people find themselves in today. You know the routine, go to work, drink beer all weekend, repeat all year long...no goals, no ambition, just drifting aimlessly in an almost miserable state of existence. Sure, there are other ways to keep from leading a meaningless life, but for me BB is my nitch, and it has helped me in almost every aspect of my life.

True, working out does make you drink a lot less

I can feel that Childish one. As long as you lift for yourself, not for a woman, I can see why you'd appreciate her appreciating your body. The hard work is worth it when your woman pays you back through sexual subservience.

I was never in to that whole "rut of mediocrity", never saw the point in the drinking. I think lifting keeps me steady and grounded, gives me something to strive for. Not a physique persay, but strength goals. Pushing maxes that I've never touched, reaching plateaus that I never thought possible during my younger years. Once you find that niche, everything becomes smooth and simple.....clean. Lifting makes life a whole lot easier to deal with.

That is a sad statement. The only way you can deal with life is through dumbells and barbells.
There has to be something else that helps you deal.

If I come to your Florida estate, we're gonna hit up a good steakhouse. Something that serves 48oz. sirloins......
Now that's my flow, Rob.
Because my son wants and expects me to be around for a long long time!!

That's probably the best reason I can think of, if you can't do it for yourself.

Don't do it. Resist the temptation....... :-\

Don't overanalyze the shit, BullHaven.
Between school, studying for personal training and AAS pharmacology, I'd say that lifting helps me ALOT. It's great for stress relief and helps take my mind of the small bullshit that I deal with on a daily basis. Instead of yoga, I lift.........that's how I look at it.
I've been military, Haven, don't ever think I can't deal with life. I think I've seen alot more than you in my time.

Training for ones self and no one else reeps the most benefit have not trained for 4 months until i build my gym very soon.
When I train 6 days a week and take pride in my acclompshments i eat clean,i,m early to bed no alcohol,no reefer and am complimented on my physique by family.Training natural or juiced it does not matter i have platued in terms of weight lifted but as long i maintain those weights im happy.
Its like taking up running my fathers freind fell into a rut when he stopped due to illness but when he came back he was happy and confident, he was no ordinary runner either won some half marathons and had a best of 2hr16minutes in the full marathon.
The point i am trying to make be it Martial Arts ,Boxing Running,Bodybuilding,Weightlifting, Power Lifting it gives you pride in your self and radiates on those around you.

Army 97-04
The military made me mentally tough, because I came from a very easy life in the suburbs and I never had it tough. It really helped me learn resolve and sacrifice. I was always physically tough, but I needed that last complement to prepare me.
It served it's purpose. Now things don't bother me, don't stress the small shit. Death doesn't bother me either, it's just another circumstance of life. My view on everything changed once I was deployed with an M-16, live rounds and the ability to use them at my discretion.
I was not referring to myself when I said the Army will take anyone
You are right. I had a GT score of 125 which is on the higher end, could have had any job in any branch of service. The Marines don't offer anything, the female recruiter was trying to sell me on being a Marine and I was looking at her sideways. Brainwashed and very stupid if she thought I'd fall for some propoganda bullshit like that.
The Navy I never considered because I'm not in to ships and boats. If I was I'd have joined the Marines.
The AF isn't the military, they are a corporation. Trust me, I've worked with them before for and they are a joke.
The Army had the most options, the most jobs, the most locations to pick from and because my GT score was so high I got anything I wanted. It was all open for me. My only regret was that I didn't go Ranger when I had the chance....

You left the military at a good time.

ASVAB's are a joke and will tell you only if you are qualified to be a cook or not.
I agree for the most part about the other services...
Although I had a buddy who signed up for the Navy... he said no boats... and sure enough they obliged him
BTW, everyone I met who progressed through ROTC agreed that it was a joke for the most part (except for the larger schools)
I've met some Westpoint motherfuckers who I would school given any competition... (no matter what it was)

I thought it would be nice to bring back some classic threads... to keep it body building related. Also a trip down memory lane :) what happened to all these old people? I remember Pat on the Roid board. I should go over there and see if he's still around. Also, tuff uesd to be there as well.

for going to the GYM and eating a healthy DIET ?????????
When I was in my twenties I wanted to impress girls as most of other guys do, never had competition aspirations.
Now when I am married and have a kid motivation has changed. Current motivation is to be healthy&fit and keep up running around with my kid.
Ok also to be a better looking than most of guys my age. ;)
-
pussy is a good motivation.
-
I wasn't obese but I was certainly overweight as a child and teenager.
Lifting weights controls that better than anything else I've ever done. I'm in my 40's now and in better shape than most people my age. But to be fit and not fat - that's motivation enough.
-
Back on gear next Sunday after a break after my last powerlifting competition and as usual the goal is 300lbs with abs. Be happy if i hit 280lbs though (with abs ;D).
