No, sometimes I find it stinks (even when  fresh).  And I don't like killing things unless necessary.

I have considered this also. At times, I get a bloated, gross feeling when I eat too much meat. Also when eating carbs.

When I eat more veggies, fruits, nuts, etc, I feel better. I feel "lighter" so to speak. I guess I don't have that bloat feeling.

But if I lay off the meat or carbs then I start to drop too much weight. I am still trying to find that balance.

Large Modern day agribusiness is pretty awful in terms of run off, leaching, animal ethics, hormones in foods, etc.

small farms, sustainable agriculture is healthy though for animals and humans alike. Itz not a left vs right issue as many donators to PETA i know personally are very right wing. So much for generalizations (u accused me of making generalizations in the Deniro thread) huh?  I agree with PETa and their animal ethics commitments but not much else.

LOL!!!
But not eating meat will have you feeling weak. What about simply having smaller portions of meat and carbs when you eat? Or eat the meat as a late night meal, ditch the carbs so it's a protein+fat meal. Should not bloat, drink lots of water and enjoy meat.

I feel the same way. I absolutely LOVE steak, but when I eat it, I feel like shite for days.
SLOW digesting, sluggish, bloat, etc. I've always just eaten it like once every 2 weeks, mainly to kill the craving...

After a hard workout digesting red meat is not a problem, however if there is no demand in the body for it, it makes me feel heavy.

If it's high quality meat, filet-ized by Juruth Industries, you can safely consume it.

I would rather opt for eggs or smaller mammals that you can feed and butcher yourself.
We used to breed rabbits and eat them and the taste and quality is tremendous but one has to kill the cute furry friends... an ordeal not too many want to go through.
The little rabbits were so fluffy  :)

So...
a. toughen up, or
b. order that extra big salad with some cuckold dressing.

I agree - this kind of meat should never be consumed and the people who are treating them in such despicable manner should be purged and dismembered.
The right to eat meat has to be earned - if you are willing to kill then you shall have your filet.
The reason way I'm not too fond of the "no meat at all" thing is that there's a huge "good will" agenda attached to it and this doesn't fly with me.

The one protein related thing I never would want to miss are good eggs of healthy hens.

yeah.. i like eggs too.. i just think if animals need to be killed then it should be humane and not making it suffer and beating it and causing distress and fear..not to mention pain. I saw a video where a guy was hitting a cow over the head with an iron bar and another stabbing a cow repeatidly with a pitch fork in the legs..what sort of asshole does this? when i saw it i really wanted to kill the guy in the video.

Agree - these folks need to be removed from the gene pool.
Sad that these weak knee'd sadistic low lives are having a go at helpless animals any day of the week. As long as people do not take true responsibility for their meat consumption this is an unfortunate reality.

Modern day big agribusiness is disgusting and horrible.
There are people like Temple Grandin who have helped industry make huge strides in the USA when it comes to ethics and treatment. I do my best to use my dollar to support ethical farms and business who do care. Thats all you can really do to help

Some cultures say that if you remove and consume the beating heart of your enemy then you will gain his life force.  Presumably this would also hold true if the guy was your buddy but that's frowned upon.
