If he is clear as to what he stands for he has a chance, but his current method proves very confusing to the undecided. Remember, I do not care what the expert Rand Paul people think and believe, focus on those who are trying to understand his way of thinking, they at this point would be left in a heap of confusion if they research his ideas and goals.

The 18-27 Year old's will vote for what is trendy, whatever name they see the most pop up on fb, twitter maybe even tinder is what they will vote for especially if that candidate is pro sending more money to africa and supports ideas such as forcefully making all straight people try being gay for a day so they know how it feels.

We cannot sit here and play stupid, face the reality people and realize that there is a new crowd in charge and their decision making process is very twisted.

If election were held tomorrow Hillary would win by a land slide, she will get most of the women, black, gay vote regardless of what she did or is doing.

Those NRA shitbags really need to focus on 2A rights and not 'conservative issues', it's sad that even a more pandering-Rand isn't getting the nod from the lunatics on the far right

I assume they'd rather rubber stamp a 'conservative' Jeb run, even if he ends up working with Feinstein and his other Democrats on a bill to take away their Ar15's  ::)

This country will never elect another Republican ever again. The youth have been brainwashed and now they are of voting age.

No.

Parts of America may wise up when others have been totally flushed down the toilet. The America people are still speaking of doesn't exist anymore, died a good 30 years ago, and some parts will become like South Africa.
The global model is China and America is being flooded, has been since a good 5 decades, with the new low wage working class which votes whatever yields money/survival.
The remaining feel good voters, mostly liberals, will have been elbowed out by then - poorer ones will be dead and the wealthier will have fled by then.

P.s.: Nooo... all these voices of Übermann in my head  ;D

It's funny how people actually think US presidents are elected.  They are selected.  Voting is there to make people believe they have a choice, when in reality there is NO choice.

Politicians promise this and that, but NONE of them ever deliver.  People need to wake the fuck up and stop hoping and believing in these empty suit clowns.

Any candidate whose position advocates a reduction in the powers of the Federal State will lose.

How exactly does "waking the fuck up and stop hoping" any different than "hope and change"? Sounds like a slogan.

Rand Paul walks out of Guardian interview

It's been 2 days since Rand announced he was running.  And 2 times, he's melted down in the face of a simple question regarding his inconsistencies.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2015/04/rand-paul-walks-out-of-guardian-interview-205327.html?cmpid=sf

I am beginning to think when shit gets serious - When China comes at the Dollar, when Iran tests a nuke, when NKorea crosses the DMZ... that Rand won't be the cool cat we want at the wheel when shit gets hectic.  These are simple, fair questions about Rand flipflopping all over the place.  He's running way to hot on these.

What did you expect - it's business.
Of course he's losing sleep over America's future...  :D

He also looks kinda strange - like Ron Paul's face caught in a foreign head.

No, I meant his hair. Can't vote for a poorly coiffed candidate.

One huge asset of Cruz is his ability to wade into the viper’s nest and keep his cool. Paul needs to learn that skill if he wants to stay in the race.

This is how it is done:

Sad but true.

The majority has been conditioned to want more government and to vote for whoever the media tells them will provide that - and who is the "cool" guy or gal.

Yes indeed. If he's going after the black vote, he needs to do it in a way that won't lose much of the white vote. He could have chosen a million other famous black guys to spend time with that day.

Most whites AND blacks hate Sharpton. Many blacks openly state that "he doesn't speak for the black community".

Cruz is one in a billion. He's got guts, balls, and is consistent. You can't "gotcha" a guy who lays it all out and doesn't flip flop on anything or pander to anyone but the working class white conservative.  ;D

I doubt that, I'd guess we will see a Republican as the next president.

No chance. His views on drugs and his anti-war mongering do not endear him to big government repugs.

Anyone right of center has ZERO chance of garnering the black vote. Predictable as Father's Day confusion. Why even waste the effort?

The meltdown continues.

Team Rand now firing off cease-and-desist letters to local TV stations...

Rand Paul has had a bad week. It was supposed to be a great week – the “different kind of Republican” who is also “the most interesting man in Washington” finally became an official candidate for president! But ever since he made his candidacy official, Rand has been stepping on rakes and putting out fires. He snapped at a pair of reporters and lectured them on the proper procedure for interviewing Rand Paul. He got defensive on Iran and abortion and explained his peevishness away by acknowledging that he has a temper. At this point, Rand is probably eager for Hillary to get in the race just so reporters will have something else to talk about.

Now comes word that Team Rand has fired off cease-and-desist letters to local TV stations warning them to stop running an ad attacking their candidate’s position on the Iranian nuclear negotiations. The ad in question is from a group called the Foundation for a Secure and Prosperous America. The Paul campaign argues that the group’s commercial “attempts to deceive voters regarding Senator Rand Paul’s position on U.S.-Iran relations through at least three false statements.”

rednecks?

Hardworking people in general (largely white, of course) with jobs or small businesses who do not feel guilty about whatever success they've achieved, do not feel that they're better off with big govt taking over private industries and making all of their decisions for them, and do not believe they should be taxed more and more to finance middle class lifestyles for the growing number of "poor".

I can do without the religious references, and the abortion and gay marriage stuff. Otherwise, he's right on.

I have to tell you, you know, it's part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Ted Cruz's speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often.
