I have to say, I'm no friend of the usual alpha/beta male dissection but this probably the most alpha I've seen in a human being in a LOOOOONG time. Upon hearing that he is to spend 15-20 years of his life in jail, the guy basically gestures the court "fuck you and your ruling, I rather die than spend the rest of my life in jail":
-
I'm reminded of Pennsylvania state treasurer R. Budd Dwyer's televised suicide, in January of 1987.

Kind of a bitch move to duck out because you can't handle a sentence. Look, I'm not denying it takes some small stones to kill yourself on camera, but it takes more to fucking deal with every blow that life deals you.
Verdict: NOT Alpha

Most people see this as a kangaroo court with no real jurisdiction. He was never going to get a fair trial anyway, so there was no reason to keep fighting. Also this 'holier than thou' court never uses the death penalty because it would be 'inhumane'. So this was also a fun way of putting them in their place: "If this court is too pussy to sentence me to death, then I'll do it myself".
So yes, very alpha.

Have you any idea about what was the purpose of that war ? NATO created a muslim country in balkan, by bombing christian. The media coverage was a total propaganda. European court is a parody of justice.
So this suicide is the only manly act i witnessed in my whole life.

he wasn't sentenced, he had his appeal turned down...
-
He would of been released since he served 1/3 of the prison time already. Did not want to be labeled a war criminal.
-
This happened about 10 miles from here, just crazy..
-
Killing himself on camera is a questionable act. Committing suicide in private rather than facing the rest of his life in prison, seems like a good plan.

I think about this a lot sometimes,is it bad ass to kill yourself or pussy and there are arguments for both.I think it is very hard to kill your self and also hard to deal with some stuff that life throws at you.
On that note I think that guy was badass.

Dear Jon Cole,
It didn't happen in the European Court, you fat, French, fils de pute. The need for an international court dealing with war crimes had been discussed since the start of the 20th century, and the creation of the International Criminal Court (ICC) began in the 1990s when the atrocities committed throughout war-torn former Yugoslavia and Rwanda led to the realisation that current UN tribunals were not sufficiently equipped to handle each new case. In 1998, the international community gathered in Rome to attempt the construction of a permanent international criminal court, where those guilty of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity could be held to account. Unsurprisingly, it was the USA that most vehemently opposed its creation, calling for it to be 'isolated and ignored' as it put American interests and sovereignty at risk. However, despite US fulminations, sixty-six countries initially ratified the Rome Statute and the ICC was eventually established in 2002.
The extent to which the ICC has been successful in practice, though, is another discussion (It hasn't been, in my opinion) and one that involves an examination of International Relations and the difficulties that regional blocs and international institutions face when powerful states act to protect their own interests and avoid accountability. But for now let us both agree that Praljak's last act of defiance was, admittedly, rather impressive.

Probably even more than regular Americans.. they are direct descendent of the African at least 1-2 generations removed if not full blood

Hi wiki-boy ! P.S : ta mère suce des bites.
;D I actually just reworded an excerpt from an essay I'd wrote on the subject and threw in the insult for a laugh. As for my mother, I can't deny she's probably guilty of that - and if I ever witness her in the act I'd pull a Praljak myself.

Ah, French... the language of romance.
