hes a moron, he could swap two meals for burger and fries and look and gain exactly the same.
Why would anyone want to fuck up their life to an extent that they are carrying Tupperware around with them when they leave the house.
Pre-contest yes, off season eat what you like.

That much whey and eggs? He must smell like a baby diaper
-
Actually looks like a damn good diet, meal 3 I would use macnut oil instead of coconut oil just can't see the two tasting good together. Obviously he's focusing on keeping his fat intake up. Which pro's diet is this??

Or Bigfoot's dick.

Far too clean, lacking calories, lacking carbs.
Eating like this on high dose gh and slin you would look like a mens bikini competitor in no time.
-
500g of protein?

500g of protein?
even dafter now you have counted that up.
caked up turd hole.

He's actually an Arnold classic champion and has won many pro shows, and definitely not a men's physique competitor, that's all I can say.
500g of protein?
Many pros eat in excess of 500 grams of protein, steroids increase protein synthesis. Milos stated he ate 500 protein and 700-1000 carbs his entire career.

Roll your eyes all you like a PT would do because simple doesnt sell, I understand that.
Keep people eating chicken and rice as opposed to them having a life.
Try and find me a picture of 70s bodybuilders carrying around multiple plastic tubs of food.
My current diet today
Bowl coco pops
Tin rice pudding
tin of tuna and Ramen noodles
Steak and chips and mushrooms with gravy
two chocolate bars
crackers and cheese

The lunatic diets of todays "champions" are the result of their extremely excessive drug use.
In the seventies the best builders ate normal and looked a lot better (and were healthier)

I think most of the current pros diets are a lot higher in carbs compared to the 80's-70's guys obviously due to the addition of insulin, so they need the carbs to cover the insulin. Fuck off you stupid fuck, what difference does it make if you reveal who it is.

Honestly I haven't seen a pro listed a diet protocol looking like this ever. It's either full keto or carb cycle. Normal pro's it's the same shit 1) egg white/ oats 2) chicken/rice/green 3)tilapia/rice green 4)bison/sweet potato 5) pwo shake whey isolate/vitargo 6)salmon or lean beef/greens
^this is the normal stuff you usually see. I'd actually like to try this out, tweak it a bit but something very similar.

Diet looks fine depending on what phase he’s in. Obviously his energy source is from mostly fats. Probably not a 212 guy, protein is pretty high for a smaller guy. Probably has a cheat day somewhere during the week or weekends. This could also be part of a carb cycle and you’re just seeing one part of it.
But for Gods sake don’t follow what Be There is doing. It’s like 10 year old diet.

In reference your 70’s bodybuilding. It’s not like it is now. There was no money in it. If that’s all they did for a living they’d be doing the same thing. I also knew plenty of body that brought their food with them to the gym to get their meals in.

Lots of people getting shredded eating a regular diet.
The days of eating like a monk and making yourself ill are disappearing.
People think (I was one of them) that you have to eat bland tasteless foods to get ripped.
And why would having a burger instead of the chicken or fish make a scrap of difference if the calorific intake was the same..?
I still haven't managed to find the thread where TA did a diet of macros and asked people if it was fine precontest, everyone agreed then he revealed they were eating pizza on a precontest prep.
I plan to diet and prep in the new year by cutting out chocolate.
I have always overdieted in the past and made myself ill,
Fuck that.

BeThere would alot of that have more to do with your body being used to getting into pre-contest shape for many years so any changes you make will happen anyways?
Its kinda like training, once we got to a certain size and say take a layoff for an extended period of time, you don't need as much weight anymore like in the past nor the amount of protein you did in order to elicit, bring back or maintain growth.
I am finding this after only less than 2 months back at the gym consistently, that my bodyparts are responding to less weight even in some cases half of what I need to use in the past, especially my calves which ironically were my weakest bodypart for the first 15-20 years working out with weights.

I didnt diet or train much from 97 to 2011, I still went to the gym occasionally but fucked about.
I do only eat a small amount of protein compared to todays advices.
I used to push for 200gms but just got sick of eating it.
I take no whey powder, I do use BCCAs occasionally , I used to take it 4 times a day but stopped and noticed zero difference.
-
Maybe for a pro bodybuilder on drugs this is a good diet. For anyone else this seems stupid to me. Just eat 3 meals a day. Eat a balanced diet of whole foods, things like oatmeal, rice, potatoes, fruits/veggies, lean meats, eggs and fish. Don't ever forcefeed or starve yourself and have a dessert once in a while. Have a cup of coffee in the morning, workout hard 3-4 days a week and stop obsessing over stupid things that don't matter such as anabolic windows, rep ranges or BCAAs. Sleep 8 hours every night and drink a lot of water. You will be as good as you can possibly be, or close to.
^^^THIS IS GOOD ADVICE FOR ALL OF YOU WITH BODY IMAGE AND EATING DISORDERS.^^^

Curious to know did you think those initial 200 grams of protein a day, during the time you built that mass you have(obviously you did not become 230 sold overnight), do you think that and/or the excess calories helped ?
Plus I know you train lighter now, but did you train heavier in the past?
The reason I ask this is because you get guys like dj for example who may misinterpret what you and others have said because you have built an impressive physique but I am sure there are many years prior to that ie the eighties to the mid ninetie where you may or may not have done heavy training and ate like a guy,
just trying to get the specifics my friend if you don't mind answering because I am curious as to how someone got to where they are today.
ps I have had the same experience with BCAA's, what I do notice is they help keep me from having any sugar drops or getting hungry during workouts rather than having sugary gatorade on hand lol

Really? How much protein do you eat then? Youre a big guy, well over 200 correct? I'm eating between 200-240 grams a day, at 190 currently and I'm hungry as fuck between meals.
-
its quite possible there's a difference in protein requirements between maintaining what you already have and putting on size.

drop it down to 150 for a month and see how you go..

Eat 400gms a day and dont lift...or eat 100 a day and train hard, which is going to work best?

I used to do a gram per pound of bodyweight and bumped it up to 1.5g per pound of bodyweight and I've been growing, I'm looking fuller/bigger, and it's not due to excess calories, because I just adjusted my macros, increasing the protein, decreasing the carbs and fats accordingly and am taking in the same caloric range as usual around 2400-2700 a day. I guess thats what makes us humans, we're all different I guess, process food differently, different caloric expenditures, metabolisms, etc.

yep, all different
What you are experiencing is contrary what science tells us, less carbs should be less full, but there you go...
It doesnt really matter what I eat, I still look pretty much the same, I dont count anything at all, I just eat what I like, I have been having more carbs of late because I like eating them, the chocolate just keeps my cals high enough so I dont start cutting too soon.
Im really looking forward to my prep in the new year, at least 4 shows in the spring then hopefully a couple of finals later in the year.
-
This thread is about a top competing pros diet (allegedly) not anyone else’s. You’re not taking what he’s taking. His lifestyle is his livelihood. That being said, stop comparing yourself

Interesting stuff, well you found the formula that works for you, if you can get bye on 100 grams of protein a day, thats great, less money being spent on groceries. Looking forward to see how you do next year.
-
Coach if you don't mind answering how did you eat in the off season when you were competing and would you do anything different today if you could do it all over again?
thanks
It was different back then. I did eat whatever I wanted but that was 27+ years ago with the exception of the show I did in 2007. It was hard in 2007 because I haven’t competed since 1991 before the 2007 show. I still came in good shape (thanks to Disgusted) but if I would have made the decision a year in advance I would have dieted down at least close to contest shape at least once during the year.
What would I do different today? Exactly what I’m doing now. Back in May I decided to train for Bodybuilding again, cleaned up my diet, training fairly consistent and generally living the lifestyle. It’s what I grew up doing, it’s easiest for me to live that way. I feel better. I’m 228 today at 11%. Wife’s Christmas cookies are killing me tho..lol

so that's it. either it's 400 grams and no lifting or 100 grams and lifting and there i was thinkin there were a few more alternatives... silly me.

I eat 2.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight.
-
I eat 2.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight.
I eat 2.5 pounds of bodyweight per gram of protein.
If not, my 21.75" arms might grow to 75.21 inches.
And I can't have that, I just can't.
-
Meal 1: 2 scoop whey isolate, 3 whole eggs, 5oz steak, 1 tbs coconut oil = Too much protein; too much fat. Overkill.
Meal 2: 10oz chicken breast, 1 avocado, asparagus = Perfect
Meal 3: 12oz cod, 1 tbs coconut oil, 1 oz almonds = No need for both the oil and almonds unless you cook the cod in oil and eat the almonds.
Meal 4: (post workout) 3 scoop whey isolate, 2 cup basmatti rice, 10 gram creatine = Pretty solid post workout meal.
Meal 5: 8 oz steak, 1tbs olive oil, asparagus = Again, no need for the oil other than to cook the steak in.
Meal 6: 5 whole eggs, 2 scoop casein = 3 whole eggs + protein would be plenty. Also, the fat in the eggs will slow the digestion of the protein so casein is kind of a waste of money
He's a top pro, well known bodybuilder, what do you guys think? I eat my wifes pussy after I fuck her.
Critique in red.
-
My diet at the moment, well for a number of months now has been shockingly bad, I don't have a big appetite and haven't been competing in over a year so eating like a normal person. Sure I'm down in size but not much, and bf level is similar or less. I don't think 350-400g of protein is essential unless you're a pro. Eat what makes you happy and healthy. Force feeding is no fun.

too many unknowns
im not in favor of strict muscle building related diets
i prefer allround and complete body health diets with an emphasis on muscle building (to make sure everything the muscle could need is there as well)

I have always been a light eater, I have always stayed lean, never really got fat during a bulk, I started off at 150lbs and have gone up to 200lbs stage weight in the 30 years I have been at it, I did have a big gap from 96 to 2011 where I didn't really train much at all.
I have trained heavier in the past but never really less than 8-10 rep range.
I train lighter now and less intensely than in the past and yet am still making improvements, if I told you some of the poundages I use you wouldn't believe me, people sometimes ask me why I don't train heavy when Im at the gym.
I definitely believe its more down to training than stuffing down mountains of food, after all your body can only convert so much of the fuel into muscle and everyone has differing limits as to how quickly that process works.
I think the key is your digestive system, if that is working optimally then you can convert the energy into tissue.
If anyone is struggling to gain then rather than force feeding they may be better off looking at a good digestive enzyme supplement.

I absolutely agree, you stomach is an ecosystem, that needs to be working properly for all the food to be processed properly, probiotics, and foods that aid in digestion are key!
