I'll keep my eye on Melvin.

It looks like he has a future in this business

He looked very good in that video.  A little ways in, when he starts posing for Glass and company, he says he was 252.  He really didn't look that heavy...he looked like he was maybe 225 at best.  Granted, he said he was almost ten "weeks out" and wasn't shredded yet, but he was still pretty fucking lean.  Assuming he lost 20-25 lbs. to get in top shape, he'd be about 225-230 in shape at 5'8".  Wheeler was at his best at 220 (and under) and an inch taller.

Then again, he won the super-heavies at the '99 USA, so I must be full of shit :/

Wheeler is around 5’10/5’11 and looks every bit of it in person

Melvin is 5’7, he didn’t look 252 cause he wasn’t, just like his age of 1973 he was actually born late 60’s, all lairs, and ended up in prison, go figure

The guy had so much potential, better than dexter, better structure and flow

3 inches of height is substantial in bbing

I am as big a fan of Dexter as you'll meet and this is spot on.  If Melvin "Gums" Anthony had a fraction of Dexter's character, he'd have been an all time great and winner of multiple Mr. Olympias.

I think Dex blew him away when they competed, but only because Melvin lacked character/work ethic.

That’s why I said potential. Melvin has better structure and flow, dexter’s torso looks very awkward and throws everything off

Ironically, they are the same age, only wks apart but dexter looks to be about 65 in the face  ;D at least he’s not in jail

No way better than dexter in his prime. He was good though. Too bad he is in prison making good use of them gums now.

 potential wise, yes

“Potentially” he is, I’ve stated he has a better flowing physique and structure

Dexter beats Melvin on everything including potential and genetics in my opinion.

This.

Potential isnt realty. Dexter is and has been a better bodybuilder than Melvin.

Fair enough

Coming up Melvin was compared to flex a lot by many, he just couldn’t get it together whether it was laziness, outside factors

Victor did better but same things kept happening to him

Imo, the two physiques were better than dexter

No one has an answer for this.

Thats a tough one.  Melvin whilst good isn't in the mix, when these two are at their best. I think Dexter has a better structure and overall shape, But Shawn Ray was more complete and had better conditioning. But couldn't pick it.
