i don't know, i guess that's ok but i've trained in gyms where there have been women who squat 400, incline 100 lb. dumbbells and bench 275.

Thats actually pretty damn impressive. I dont think she had 45 pound plates on there though. Either way it is awesome. By the way that looks like a great place to train.

A lot of us, if that's what we trained for. Not to say it isn't impressive.

Uh, the bar ain't bending, and how come we can't see their face, those are plastic weights, they have small wires hooked up to their bodies to help them jump, uh that guys socks are filled with superballs, uh those tits are fake, how come there are no more cameras, uh that video is bullshit.

Thats because no one on here has the muscle endurance let alone joint strength to do squat presses like that. That video shows some serious strength and conditioning. BTW, by my calculations that was 155lbs including the bar. AWESOME!!

Well I got to the chins part - you know, the part where they are using everybody part to heave themselves up, which is past the sorta squats/press swiss ball under the ass - and stopped. What is the point of this. Exercising like this trains everything poorly and nothing well. A few weeks of this and someone will tear something. Where is the control, the tension, the form, etc. WTF? I am getting old I guess. :-\

yellow bumpers normaly weigh 35lbs, but there are also some that weigh just 25.
And what about those "pullups". How about actually using your back and arms instead of your legs to heave up your body.

Yeah, no shit. I just saw a couple of guys at my gym doing pullups similar to this. Bringing their legs up to their chest as momentum. I wanted to slap them. But who am I? I'm lucky if I could get 3. ;D

You're right I can't do it. That's olympic style lifting and they're using momentum to aid them (still very impressive though). I'd probably tear a muscle or seriously f my joints up trying.

Functional means that they could apply the ability to something besides lifting weights.

Hello Irish, I gotta disagree with you here (and perhaps just a bit of cdn shit disturbing after a rare night out) or maybe I'm everyday lazy, but the chins I do with a dip belt full of change, or the f'ing squats with 4+ plates on my back have yet to play a role in my 'real life' or perhaps they help me navigate it without me knowing. But hey, I could be wrong, as someone pointed out to me last night, 'what do I [you] know, [you're] I'm almost forty.' :-[

no problem. well i guess that there are or more function thant tri kickbacks or barbell curlls in real life. do u ever do heavy lifting in your job, garden etc those squats would help. i dunno u are a lot oler and more experienced than me and perhaps it dont help you. tho no doubt it has aided a lot of others

The girl is impressive...not many women could do that.
i'm sure i could do it...they are using more momentum than actually muscle but the endurance aspect is the killer. i would be very wore out afterwards.

Pretty impressive, both there techniques were terrible on the chin-ups, they were kicking and squirming around, just didn't look good.
