People need to stop downplaying gear. Some of you have been on for so long, it's like you have no clue how useless natural bodybuilding is. MCWAY claims to be 220-lb at 5'11" naturally at 47. Guaranteed he looks like complete shit [fat, and probably hairy and ugly too].
He won't post a picture either, which proves my point.
Anyway, bodybuilding is all drugs. I started this cycle for the compliments, but I didn't predict I wouldn't be able to handle not telling those people I'm using.
How do some of you go your entire lives cheating on your wives and lying through your teeth about everything? If you can read my posts, you can read my mind.
I can't fathom being some immobile juiced-up bodybuilder, and honestly answering some teenage boy who comes up to me at the gym and asks what protein powder I take. I'd sooner just say "steroids" and walk away.

Funny you take anadrol for a month after starving yourself for a decade gain 15lbs half of which is fluid to get back to your natural weight and now you think you have it all figured out. By all means keep going it's not linear you don't even have a 6 pack and are not over 200 but you know if you just keep saucing you will become a monster it doesn't work that way the first 15 are easy especially when you have been starv]ing yourself get to a legit 225 10% and then let us know how it just took a couple magic beans

I have decided to do the Maters Nats again next year.....I laid off for 5 whole years so I need the extra time, but I look great compared to when I started back....if I had a brain I should wait till I`m seventy but my goal at seventy is to travel the country ravaging twenty one year old chicks which will take up all available time. ;D

Nah he is just a dude that cut weight and knows how to pose and dance on stage he never had any real size before I tore my meniscus my legs were better than his I have trained them back before and will do so again my upper body has been leaner than his at a higher weight I have carried more size and condition than him

I'm not intended to be a heavy man. I've comfortably been 195 and fatter than I am now, but maybe the combination of my age and getting back to that weight too quickly with drugs made me feel it this time.
Maybe I'll resume the gear soon. Maybe I'll stop now.

Brian, I give him credit as I know how hard it is to do something like that but he`s the poster boy for "all drugs" and has the life expectancy of a fucking fruit fly.......plus the look he has is just plain old ugly.
I don`t expect to look like Zane but it`s just as ugly toxic look......just my opinion....kids love him but they have no clue anyfuckingway.
I dont wish him harm but it would come as no surprise to me to see him get ill like so many have or have died in the past two years.

Matt, when I do something I dont cry later over it or make a big deal. We all knew or do now what we get in to it. I had some of my best days because of some juice. I still can be all water or fat if I like too but thats my decision for me only..

The NPC recognizes his weight class and they award pro-cards to class winners....just accept that and move on.... your jealousy exceeds no bounds.

His theory doesn't explain the jacked natty calisthenics guys all across the world.
Volume, frequency and intensity all play roles in natty gains, but frequency and volume trump progressive overload imo (because strength has factors besides muscle).
All the over analysing science BS is a hindrance. Back in the day you'd watch pumping iron, learn from practical experience in the gym and then get your first cycle of dbol from the gym dealer.

These are the facts in my opinion:
(1) Volume is king if your goal is size/mass, and it's a lot easier to increase volume when working with light/moderate weights than with heavy weights.
(2) If you want to get appreciably stronger in a particular rep range then you need to train in that rep range, don't expect something like GVT or 20-rep squats to up your one-rep max all that much.
I'm very confident in #1 and moderately confident in #2
Most people want to be big but also want to throw around big weights; hard to make progress on either goal trying to do both of these things.
By "volume" I mean weight x reps x sets

Here is a volume example:
Suppose on squats your goal is big quads and you can do 225x10 for a max effort. You could probably do 10x10x185 without much trouble and that's 18,500 lbs of volume. Your five-rep max is probably in the 250-270 neighborhood, let's call it 250 to be sure for numerous sets. You'd have to do almost 15 sets of 250x5 to match the volume of 10x10x185. If you can actually do 15x5x250 then great but that's a pretty daunting workout for a 225x10 guy.
