I saw this 290lb. BEAST just now shrugging 315 in the squat rack. He asked me help him move some pole as I'm working (training someone). I told him to get someone else to help. Must be awesome to be huge on gear and weak as hell. Croatch on...

"....asked me help him move some pole...."
Sounds like Croatch misinterpreted a Brokeback moment.

I wouldn't go anywhere near the guy's pole but that's just me. Do what makes you happy.

Then croach went over and asked if he could work in, but take off two fortyfives... "Im tryin to burn it out..."
Monster "Can I Jump In On your Set?" Croach

Actually he went over and asked the guy if he could score some roids

Is it the same guy from the last time you told the same story?
-
What does "move some pole" mean exactly?
And what's wrong with shrugging 315 lbs? Geeze, you don't have to shrug 700 lbs. to get big traps. Who cares. Whatever it takes to get the job done.
I'm sure that guy was focusing more on building his traps than trying to impress guys like you.

what an inspirational story..

no offense Dan-o but 315 is pathetically weak for shrugs.

I'm just wondering, if the pole weighs less than 315 pounds why didn't he just move it himself? WTF, "Im shrugging a few hundred pounds but I can't move a pole." No logic there.

My point is just, maybe he could shrug 675 but so what? Your traps can't read the numbers on the barbell plates, the only thing they know is when they're being maximally stimulated and you could do that effectively with 315 lbs. Presumably this guy is bodybuilding, not necessarily trying to set a WR in the shrug.
Personally I get enough trap development from deads and rows. My traps are pretty big and I never even go over 405 for shrugs and that's maybe once a month.

Croatch, you're a former gear user who now hates gear users who works as a personal trainer and stews on his hatred all day while being surrounded with gear users, right?

315 is a great weight to use to burn in detail.

what the hell is a "pole" doing in a gym?

I guess there was some newbie Pollack wandering around the gym, getting in the juicer's way maybe? Perhaps the Pollack was big and fat, which might explain why the juicer needed someone to help move him?... ???

yeah maybe that's it...

richard jones only goes up to 315 on shrugs in bfto 04.
i use up to 405 but my physique is not remotely near his.
just because the guy u saw was using 315 doesnt mean he cant do more, he probably just finds his traps respond better to lighter weight/stricter form.
