I have one of those coffee machines with the pads and the plastic water reservoir. I am thinking this is a microplastics hazard, especially if the water in the plastic gets heated.
Any better solution you may recommend to me to make coffee while minimizing this issue?

I drink a lot of it.....good old Mr. Coffee machine, nothing fancy, and I alternate between Folgers,Maxwell House,and Chase & Sanborn.
Usually Folgers though until I feel I need a change.

If you must drink instant because you prefer it, go with Folgers Classic or I`ll kill ya` !! ;D

This has been my combo lately, muscle buff/tacobender. Economical and tastes good without microplastics.

The water in the reservoir remains cold, only the water pumped through the machine is heated. But the cups / capsules themselves are aluminum, so no plastic risk there.
Very popular here in The Netherlands, such Nespresso machines are everywhere, including in nearly all holiday houses and such.

I also have an old school Corning Ware percolator which makes awesome coffee but it takes a while so I use it rarely....but the coffee tastes great !

I used to love coffee but after having quit I was made aware of how strong of a drug it is.
The really bad thing seems to be the pesticides you're con-sooming, since cof-fee a cash crop.

I have an automatic coffee machine.
A bit of an investment and requires some maintenance like decalcification, but well worth every damn penny.

pesticides are known to cause alzheimers, and my wife tells me a lot of shit I don't remember at all and it just worries me very much that I may have it. Freaks me the fuck out

Does it make large cups? I use those in hotels from time to time but never at home. I use a Kuerig but my favorite coffee is some bullshit restaurant coffee I get from a local greasy spoon.

That stuff is almost entirely genetic. Do you have a family history? Matters much much more.
As to coffee, it all pretty much tastes the same to me as I am straight, the taste doesn't really move my needle, and in that i consider myself blessed.

The strongest ones of that coffee maker are level 10, but I prefer brands that go up to 11 ;D

I actually make my coffee in a Mr. Coffee coffee maker. I go to an Amish surplus store where they sell the expensive coffee for much cheaper than the name brand stores. Many different brands and flavors. My favorite coffee is probably that from Ethiopia.
