I have a simple Nespresso machine:





The water in the reservoir remains cold, only the water pumped through the machine is heated. But the cups / capsules themselves are aluminum, so no plastic risk there.

Very popular here in The Netherlands, such Nespresso machines are everywhere, including in nearly all holiday houses and such.

Does it make large cups? I use those in hotels from time to time but never at home. I use a Kuerig but my favorite coffee is some bullshit restaurant coffee I get from a local greasy spoon.

That stuff is almost entirely genetic.  Do you have a family history?  Matters much much more.

As to coffee, it all pretty much tastes the same to me as I am straight, the taste doesn't really move my needle, and in that i consider myself blessed.
