ah, you know my forte isn't to play nice- but a compliment from me is real when it does come!

your midsection looks like it's from someone else's body.  IMO your abs and shoulders will be the most impressive parts you have, based on pics so far.  I still can't believe how the serratus, etc looks compared to pics of old. props.

THE UNDISPUTED KING OF NATURAL TESTOSTERONE BOOSTERS!
At Gaspari Nutrition, we are constantly researching to find the very best in advanced sports nutrition. We have now found it with new Novedex XT™. With its patent-pending formula Dianestrozole®, studies show Novedex XT™ to be significantly better than any of the competition including formestane and 3,6,17-androstenetrione in modulating estrogen levels in the body and increasing natural testosterone levels.

HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY:
Actual studies have shown that the active ingredient, 3,6,17-androstenetrione, found in a popular anti-estrogen testosterone trigger probably converts to the estrogens 6-keto-estrone and 6-keto-estradiol while Dianestrozole® can not.

WHY WOULD YOU TAKE AN ANTI-ESTROGEN THAT CONVERTS TO AND ENDS UP AS ANY ESTROGEN?
Unlike formestane (4-hydroxyandrostenedione which converts to 4-hydroxytestosterone in the human body), Novedex XT™ does NOT have ANY androgenic metabolites that could cause HPTA (Hypothalamic Pituitary Testes Axis) suppression.

WHAT DOES NOVEDEX XT™ CONTAIN THAT IS SO SPECIAL?
The active formula Dianestrozole® contains 2 unique anti-aromatase supplements. The first ingredient, 6, 17-keto-etiocholeve-3-ol tetrahydropyranol, is a patent-pending non-androgenic anti-aromatase that utilizes the advanced ether delivery technology. With its' ether attachment, this amazing compound has a prolonged half life in the human body which means you only take it once per day as opposed to many times per day like other anti-estrogens. The second amazing ingredient found in Novedex XT™, 3, 17-keto-etiochol-triene, is the single most potent non-androgenic aromatase inhibitor ever sold in the supplement market place! It is almost 3X more potent based on binding times and binding ability (how fast and tight it "sticks" to the target molecule) than 3,6,17-androstenetrione. The combination of a long acting non-androgenic anti-aromatase with the most potent non-androgenic anti-aromatase provides the smarter athlete with a double edge attack against the effects of estrogen and the prevention of estrogen formation. Because Dianestrozole™ actually minimizes the production of any and all estrogens in the body through its' dual aromatase inhibition systems, this causes a positive effect on the HPTA which means it will actually cause your body to greatly increase testosterone production on it's own, the safest way to naturally cause a positive anabolic effect in order to gain muscle mass, strength, and endurance while helping to lose fat. Additionally, if you happen to be using or have recently used a prohormone or even a "real steroid," Dianestrozole's HPTA upregulating effects will help your body to restore and normalize natural testosterone output and levels in the body and is the perfect LEGAL choice for post-cycle therapy (PCT).

NEW RESEARCH STUDIES UNDERWAY.
Results of our initial clinical trial show Novedex XT™ increases bioavailable testosterone significantly higher (over 400%) and faster (within 2 weeks) than any other testosterone booster in the supplement industry - and with only a fraction of the dosage used by the leading brand! If this were not enough, the study also revealed that Novedex XT™ was so effective at combating estrogen that estradiol was slashed an average of more than 50% in all subjects tested in just the 1st week! With this unprecedented 1-2 punch, this product is easily the most effective natural vehicle to trigger a potent anabolic response in order to help gain lean mass, strength and endurance while also helping to reduce body fat.

In an effort to bring you the safest and most effective product possible, the full clinical chemistry panels as part of the pilot study have not only revealed the amazing benefits of Novedex XT, but thus far, results have shown no adverse advents or side effects associated with the product. But we're not stopping there! We are so convinced that Novedex XT™ is the best product of its kind anywhere, that not one, but two long-term, multi-institutional research studies are underway to show, in great detail, the true potential and safety of this incredible product - including a nearly three month double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial at one of the nation's foremost universities specializing in sports nutrition. Look for the results of this ground-breaking research to be released on our website in the coming months!

do you take any of those pro-hormones, pro-steroids, proto-steroids? like halodrol. i will admit something. i got some halodrol a while ago and i haven't started it yet. i'll start it again when my arms get back to what they were before. If it can help my gains i want it to help my new gains not gains i can easily get back because i was there before. by the way you have pretty good quads it's just the calves that are bad

5 weeks left Big Mike..time to start tearing it up!

Remember if you don't get all of your meals in, skip cardio, don't give 100% while training, you are basically handing over that 1st place trophy to another guy who is doing all of the above!

HOW BAD DO YOU WANT TO WIN?!!

What a transformation. Great work. If asked, one would be hard pressed to say the before/after pics were of the same person!? Perhaps, if not already, get a second calf workout in a week. You're not going to get a lot of extra size in remaining time, but you might at least cover what you have in some freaky looking veins. Best, dc

ps. gibberj2: shave those things or get some colour. something offputting about pale, sparsely-haired legs. Like looking at someone lined up for the early bird special buffet. ;)

50 on the low carb days (usually like 5-6 of them per week)
100 on the high carb days (usually 2 of those per week)

 Rock on w/ yo-badself, Mikey!

You look awesome! 5 weeks out? Pound the BCAAs/Glutamine...ECA stack as I outlined(remember?), NO...ABSOLUTLEY NO simple sugars at all(or high glycemic carbs)...keep training hard/heavy...forget that lighten up and pump crap until the last week. Rotate your carbs for before/after training...when you low-carb...increase your fats(efas/fishoil etc...)

Make your cardio sessions count. Get your meals in...tan and work on posing like its going out of style.

Your arms/delts are your best bodypart by far! Cool hearing how you use Gaspari's NovaXT. I used it as well getting ready for my last show...works just as efficient as a mild nolvadex or Proviron. It does appear any forms of gyno is going away...it was probably just a spot where you tend to hold water. Fuggin awesome, Mikey. I know you're lovin it!

Mike ..you look awesome. IMO..I think you should stay 75gr of carbs for 2 low days and bump it up to 250gr for 1 day. At this point from the pic you need to feed your body...to burn more fat. Just my opinion bro..if you want take a drive to Lauderdale and let's talk.

DUUUUDE excellent my man , f@#king fantastic, Zombie body builder , what do you expect guys the guy is eating less than he is burning (hence the transformation)so having energy for any thing other than what is planned is not a reality , you look fantastic mike , i bet you feel small, which is very common in this state but trust me , you look so much bigger in this condition than you did pre dieting , you delts have come out , along with your tapper , and arm definition the lot , just keep a eye on muscle wastage at this stage (loads of glutamine and HMB help), well done I am impressed

Sure, Mike looks 500% better than before.  What he has done has been totally amazing to watch, he has been an inspiration to a lot of us.  A lot of us talk about it on this board, Mike went out and did it, Good job Mike.  But with that said can we get back to Cheri now?

Mike I'm concerned hearing you talk about these "pro-hormones" you are going to fuck up your natural status.  You have worked so hard to get where you are now naturally, overcoming crap genetics, to build something.  Now you put that in jeopardy to take some crap supplement that probably won't do anything except mess up your liver function?

Seriously you will have people questioning you just like they do Croatch.  I'll still consider you natural if you just get off this bs fake nova.

Mike's front and back double bi are his best poses.

His Side Chest his weak cause he lack leg size and he has long arms so they don't look as big as they really are.

Mike will look good on stage, and since he is older he has exellent muscle maturity

Mike do you do squat or leg press, or both ?

both.................... .i can't get that "meat" around the knee area (sweep)

i have been using hack squats a lot more in order to try and get some sweep
Title: Re: Give this guy some props
Post by: Stavios on May 11, 2006, 06:51:45 AM
I have the same problem, I noticed that when i do regular squat my ass do the works way more than my quads so it doesn'T make them grow.

I don't have that problem with front squat, great for the sweep.
Leg press works great do but only when I put my feet at a specific angle

don't worry with that.
Listen, is you ever went to a bbing show, you will know that on stage you look way better than on pics.
On pics it is easy to find flaw. Onstage if you are big and really shredded, even if you have some weak bodyparts you won't look bad.
The guy who won the mr.montreal last year was awesome but he had no legs. It didn't look that bad on stage cause they were shredded.

Don't worry with your legs they will be fine come contest time

Mike don't even sweat it....do your first show.....learn from it and then enjoy a good off-season of heavy eating and training and you'll start to balance out.....next time you lean out for a show you'll be more intune with your body, your diet, your training, you'll have lifted hard and heavy for many months and you'll have brought up your weak areas even more so....as time goes on you'll only get better and better.   You got a great base all  you can do is improve.

Mike, I was just checking out some older pics of your legs on your site and I'll I can say is that they have made a major improvement.  What is your rep range for your legs?   I keep my rep range high on my legs, I find that to get through all your fibers, I do reps of 15-20 on squats and presses. I find that reps under 10, don't leave much on my legs.

Yo, Mike! Great improvement!

Here are some recommendations that usually pay off in the long run .....

A. Be the best that you can be!

B. The first full minute of your initial lineup is the critical minute when the judges' place you in their mind on their rough scoresheets. From then on out it's merely a matter of "changing their mind" and moving you up and down on their worksheets. So ... Make an added effort to show your stuff to it's best potential in that lineup. And don't "exaggerate" your relaxed "pose".

C. Move your "mandatories" slightly so that the judges get a chance to see you from all positions at their table. And get into the pose immediately upon request. Don't waste precious time leading into it. The last guy into the pose is often overlooked or simply ignored for taking too much time.

D. Keep your posing round to a reasonable minimum hitting each pose only once. Leave that stage with the judges wanting more. KISS - "Keep It Simple, Stupid" may be rude but it's great advice. And always play it too the judges. During the Finals you can play it for the fans. (Do your best to avoid making funny and streanuous faces.) A relaxed and confident look has a great affect on the judging staff. And NEVER encourage the audiance to start root'en on your behalf or dance all over the stage. Keep it under that posing light and let the audiance react as they will without your attempt to "orchestrate".

E. Be prepared to accept defeat with a smile on your face and always congratulate those who place above ya, as well as those who place below. This is your opportunity to tell the world that you are one of the "good guys" and the unworldly judges will notice too and remember it the next time you appear before them.

F. Don't complain once it's over and make sure you  realize beforehand that all your family, friends and fans are gonna tell ya that you got screwed. That's what family, friends, and fans are for but they speak from the heart and the heart often makes irrational and emotional errors such as those you will soon be hearing.......... But they don't know a "hill of beans".

G. When is all over, be proud of what you accomplished! What you are doing is tougher than Boot Camp in San Diego or Camp Lejuene. Plan for the next one within a year and never allow your bodyweight to go beyond 10% of your competitive weight until you are ready to take a major step up in the "game".

H. Once you feel that you are ready, only enter contests that are national qualifiers and do your best to represent your state, family, friends, and fans on the national level. And I bet ya that hill of beans that
they'll be saying the same unless you bring home the bacon.

That's it, so I'll simply say CONGRADUALTIONS for a job well done.

The rest is entirely up to you!

Stuntmovie...great advice as I definitely concur.

Always, always smile....beleive it or not this little bit will help, shows charm class etc....heck get some bleach strips to make it that much more effective.

Think about Gunther S...he has that million dollar smile....

When you are posing, make sure you hold it for a few seconds and listen for the judges to say "Relax", chances are you will be hurting, possibly shaking but again.....I hurt for 2 days after just from the mandatories.....

So you have watched my DVD over and over...Branch was on fire....

Did you get to my show yet on the VHS? Figure out who I was?
