Title: TRAINING ADVICE FOR CHRIS MANSON!!
Post by: alexxx on August 12, 2006, 09:00:17 AM
From what I understand you are an out of shape lifter who is in love with Layne Norton. Thats ok but we will fix on problem at a atime. First thing in the morning upon waking up I want you to start doing cardio and not just any kind of cardio like you are used to with your Muscle bear twins but the real stuff, speed walking. Once you have finished the first and only tour around the block for your one hour of cardio, throw away your bacon and sausages stored in the fridge. Butter is also a nono but you can use it instead of sun lotion to help you get a nice crisp burn. So your first meal should contain 3 eggs and 5 eggwhites with one piece of toast. wait 30 minutes and go work out at the gym. Full body workouts. 5 exercises 10 sets 12-20 reps per bodypart. Try to finish it within 8 hours and get your second and last meal in before going for your last muscle blastin session with Rodney st-cloud's bedtraining marathon.

Hope this helps.

Errrrrr, uhhmmmmmm......nah, I won't go there.  Just too easy.

I think Chris should follow your advice.  That way, at some distant point in the future, he might be able to tie his own shoes again.

Who's Chris "Manson"? :D

Concerning Mr. Chris Mason, those are good lifts!  I know I have seen you curling upwards of 190 or something pretty strictly, too.

Mason has an extreme back. In fact, I urge anyone to find any natural with better lat development.

I think he's got a very good phyisque, and considering he's natural, it's some very good numbers he's throwing around.

I have a video of me curling 185 lbs with my back against a wall (as strict as it gets).  I have cheat curled significantly more.

It is rather ironic that shaving one's body hair is considered to have homosexual overtones by everyone outside of bodybuilding and now with the advent of the "Musclebear" website having a fair amount of bodily hair is associated with homosexuality on bodybuilding sites.

Anyhoo, Alexxx, you have a decent physique and a good base but that is about it so you might just want to try to take some advice from others and see how far you can go.

videos works fine for me. install quicktime or whatever it's called to view it. great lats. if it's not all genetics you might want to discuss your back training with us if you got a few tips and hints (don't tell me it's all supplements  ;D)

calling you fat and bullshitting about body hair is just silly.

If you worked 80+ hours per week, had a family of 5, and had to work in your training as well you may not find the luxury of time to go out and tan.  In fact, you probably would not even consider it.

You sell protein powder over the internet... why the hell would you have to work 80 hours a week?  I assume you have your stuff manufactured and packaged third party, and your ordering/billing should all be automated, so what on earth takes up 80 hours?

I work about 60+ hours a week.  Although my business is automated as well, I do spend time making consistant upgrades and advancements to the business simply because its my business and I enjoy the work.  I suppose Chris feels the same way about Atlarge.

Tanning however is something Chris does need to use and he may wish to check on my self-tanning products.  They are olive-oil based ingredients and they won't make him turn orange or other funny collors

My only criticism of Chris's body hair is that he is likely to be feeding some musclebear beatoffs right now but if he's ok with that thats cool. :)

You look like you can handle a fair bit more for chinning Chris.  I always wondered what a decent natural strength weighted chin is.

Maybe I run more than one company as well.

Please don't comment on what you have no clue about.

As to my being slow and inefficient it has served me well thus far.  What have YOU done?  Please, post a picture of yourself and show us the business you have built from scratch.

I can't find that rowing video.

I don't do a SLDL with perfectly straight legs because I think it places the lower back in too precarious of a position.

I see, you do your SLDL much like Yates did his, in fact it looks like a carbon copy, and you have great back development so you know what you are doing. Now, if you watch Ronnie do his SLDL he keeps his legs straight, and that's the way I prefer to do them, I can "feel" it much more in my hamstrings, but I only use 245lbs for my final set, much different than 455.

Also, a shame you can't find the BB row video. The BB row is my favorite exercise.

what are your thoughts on weighted CHINS vs. reverse grip pulldowns for back development?

I recall Bay mentioning a regular posing clip of Aaron Maddron being a hot item in several gay bars.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mason could become an instant fave with the bear crowd.

Unless, of course... he already is. ;D

Mason shouldn't sweat it (maybe shave it). Rocco Siffredi is a gay icon, and he's a cool dude through and through.

I think chins are a superior movement overall but either can do the trick if you train progressively.

but WHY are chins superior?

The load is different and the plane of motion is different.  I think both of these factors contribute to a greater overall activation of the muscles of the back and arms.
