as much as i wish that were true i disagree.i have every Tyson fight on dvd.(look on ebay if your interested).you would not believe the number of guys that looked and fought and had a fighting record worse than my crack head homeless uncle.i challenge any one to name more than five fighters Tyson fought who offered any kind of real career to boxing.once agin I loved watching tyson fight, Im not hatin just callin it like i see it.

The late eighties heavyweight class was really piss poor.  Michael Spinks won the title for gosh sakes, a pumped up light heavy.  The formula for beating Tyson has always been the same, a heavy with good footwork, a stiff jab, and stamina to withstand the initial assault.  Not to mention when Tyson left Rooney, he became a head hunter.  He no longer bobbed and weaved using his peakaboo defense to penetrate taller fighters outer layer of defense and ATTACK THE BODY.  This is what normally brings fighters hands down.  He wanted the quick one punch KO and this ended up being his downfall.  (Plus cocaine, Don King, his penchant for women)

Imagine how Ali would have been had he not lost a couple of years.

Absoultely.  Ali wasn't a puncher.  He wore down his opponents then knocked them out (i.e. Foreman and many others).  He wasn't a one punch knock out artist (except for that one I can't remember that no one saw the punch).  Ali was pretty to watch box.  He just looked so fluent and graceful.  Thats what made him great.

And the fact that his daughter aint bad looking and looks even sexier when she is in the ring... That gives Ali another 4 or 5 points in my book....

You know when you are having a day where you are superman in the gym or field or court, I guess kind of like being in the zone.  Watch Tysons fights from when he killed people, he was eXXXXXxxxplosive and quicker and stronger than anyone I have ever seen, I am 29.  He also shows some nice technique and discipline.              DEFENSE!!??                   ;)   YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT.

He had to be great to win the heavyweight title, he's just down on the list of all-time greats.
