the question is, do I just do straight sets or can I still use the shock technique like pre-exhause, supersts or etc?
After the first, I usually start sweating and start to get a pump.
again, why are you using these techniques? I'm not saying they're bad but they should be an "add on" to your routine, it shouldn't revolve around it.....unless you're honestly trying to do new things to add detail to a muscle group but even then I'm not convinced it will work.
first, buckle down and start training as heavy as you can for a given range of reps, learn to take a muscle to failure in the shortest period of time, then go from there.
I train DC and for a BP like Bi's I'll pick out one movement and take it to failure 3 times in a rest paused manner, doing anythign else after that is really not gonna do anything for me but tax my CNS more than it needs to be. Some BP's I'm doing straight sets but they're as heavy as possible for that given rep range, the negatives of supersets etc. far outwiegh the positives for me. LEARN to train effectivlly w/o those techniqes then ask yourself if you REALLY need them.
