When true hardship comes people tend to look after their own interests with people that look and think like them. When that time comes I wouldn't worry about that demographic taking care of business. I hope I'm too old to be involved in it at that point. Really just depends on how long they can keep the populace distracted, overstimulated, fat, comfortable and lazy.

According to some videos i've seen, some places in U.S. are already worse than Brazil.

I think it will end up more like Brazil.

However, never that bad, at least in the next 50 years. The US will still remain a superower but living-standards may drop, infrastructure might not have the same levels of maintenance and crime could rise.

I say not as bad as Brazil because I think the state will still remain relatively effective and in control.
