If you watch his performance at 98 and/or 99 Olympias, Mike's arms did look suspicious. His triceps in particular were soft and he didn't seem able to flex them all the way.

Mike's arms were incredible. In the later years of his career though, I'm sure he used synthol on them.

Mike was a cool mofo.
remember the first muscle and fitness magazine I bought had him in it describing his usual day. Always came across as stand up dude. Miss him from the competition stage.
Hope he is doing good

i remember reading that he'd absolutely hate people interrupting his workouts so he'd just roll in with headphones and mean-mug anyone who tried to approach him while working out.  he also said he lifted with his eyes closed to better feel the mind-muscle connection.  widely credited with inventing the tongue-out most muscular pose.

i always assumed mike drove around in t-top 80's muscle cars blasting hair music while wearing Wayfarer sunglasses, tongue out with his left arm flexing out the window to people walking by on the street.  can anyone confirm?
its comin today

when mike was training he was training. no talking until after or before he was working out. always trained in sweaters and shit and rarley wore shorts (calves were absolutely insane). he drove one of those 4 door ford explorer suv/trucks that came out a few ears ago(the first 4 door trucks to come out). he also had a sick Bad Boy custom bike with 110 horsepower that he said cost him 60 grand. it was a sick bike for sure, this was a few years ago before custom bikes were common. he was usually on the bike unless he was dieting for a contest. then he said he didnt trust himself with it cause he was on "low cabs"(insert itallian accent) really loud guy but nice as hell.

I think his arms were natural "in the badell way".
Remember that he was already very big in 1991.
He did not gain much mass after that year.
Synthol was almost unknown at that time, except maybe in germany.

"in the badell way"? ???

When did Badell become poster-boy for non-synthol muscle?
