I've been too skinny and I have been a mass monster.  Now I am really fat.  My next mode is to get allot leaner and live a healthier life.  I spent 40 years being in very good shape, strong, athletic and never sick. The last 8 years have sucked big time.  The worst of my entire life.

Was your decline in health all from the spider bite or did you let yourself go too?

Well how about this...if you knew you were going to die in a couple years or even a decade would you do steroids and drugs then knowing they would have no impact on your lifespan?  or is the choice to do steroids a moral one?

sounded like he was very very sick.... however... getting up to what he weighs now takes a lot of hardcore eating.

I think he is just looking at the task ahead right now and getting discouraged because he knows how much he is gonna have to sacrifice to get back in reasonable shape

Keithie boy,

how is your diet as of today brother? give us a breakdown...

I'm fine with the eating.  Still have a donut here and there but not that bad.  I eat 2 bags a chicken a week from Costco. I know that much.  I mix in some fish here and there.  I love spinich so I go through a few bags a week of that.  I drink only bottled water, crystal light lemonade, 1% milk or Cranrasberry drink.  I have cereal once in awhile.  I go through a 6 pak of egg white a week I know that from Costco.  I snack on cashews or almonds.  I have peanut butter.  And I do usually make spaghetti once a week.  Oh, I do drink some diet coke but not allot.  I make a 12 pak last a week or more.  I love crystal light.

Yep, when I got bit I was at my peak of cardio I have ever been.  I weighed 298.  I was rifing my bike 28 miles a day 4 to 5 days a week.  On weekends I pulled the truck tire filled with cemet around Diamond Head crater. Took 3 hours.  I was swimming everyday and even kayaking once in awhile.  I was lifting everyday.  I was training for the 2000 Olympics.  Then it all ended.  I moved to Vegas after I spent almost the entire month of March in the hospital about 4 months later when I could walk again.  I started training about at the Golds on Sahara and Decatur.  But I would get so sick and my leg would swell up so bad that I just couldn't train very much.  SO it got farther and farther between workouts.  Got very depressed from not being ableto do anything.  Moved back to Hawaii.  It got just as worse.  Now I am in Kona and getting back into shape except about two months ago the new owner of the gym I was training at kicked me out becasue I am opening my own gym and everyone is talking about it and he said he was sick of it and wanted me out.  So now I haven't touched a weight for almsot two months. I go to the beach and just lay there.  In fact after theis message its where I am going.  I'll get better and back in shape.  I really want to go to the ASC next year.  So we'll see how I look and feel.  DOn't worry I will take pics once I get back on the weights.

Also, the bite didn't cause me to get fat.  It was the lack of training.  I really don't eat anymore than I ate when I was in shape. The only difference is I aint working out or active.  It did do somethign to my thyroid.  I have a blood test scheduled next week and am working with a very well known doctor who will determine what I can do to get the weight off and get my leg better.  I still have an infection in my lower leg that has repercusions all the time.

I have shown these pics on here allot but maybe you haven't seen them.  I had a very bad reaction to the venom. I chose to keep my leg rather than have it amputated.  Hopefully this new doctor will be able to give me something that will work.

Always a struggle for me.

My true passion is to be a mass monster and to that end I often think about drug use and so on.  Then I have my children and my desire to live well into old age.  That side of me, the wiser side, has thus far won the day.

Chris don't even think about doing a cycle! You can achieve anything naturally and it is much more fullfilling.
just push some weight!

Lol, well, thank you Alexxx.  I have a pretty good feel for what can be done naturally especially by me.  Anything is not in the cards.

Keith why don't you start a food diary and get serious about your eating now?

Even if you diet isn't that bad you might be taking in more calories than you think... nuts are calorie dense and not a great snack food for losing fat...

what time of day do you eat donuts if you do?

What are bags of chicken? we don't get that here in australia or if we do it is chicken that is cooked and full of oil...

Also, if you aren't training right now how much protein do you really need? not much at all...

your thyroid is probably not the main issue...

No I don't do drugs at all.  Thats funny.  My nail is so long cause it is the only one that fits in my nose.  Look at the size of my fingers.  I have a 13 1/2 ring finger.  Anyway yes it hurts.  And I have done the diary thing.  And actually when I do that I really keep on the diet.  I was easily eating 2000 and less claories a day.  And I can do that when I am busy.  But right now I am just waiting to sign the lease so all I do is go on here then go to the beach for a couple hours and lay in my own little tidepool.  The water feels great on my leg.  After my blood tests next week which are going to tell allot to the doctor he is going to see what I need.  Once I can get my energy up I will be okay.  I am actually going to go join the only other gym in town next week till mine opens.  I can't stand not lifting.  So once I get back in there and the engine going I am going to concentrate more.

How is your leg now? where were you when you got bit by the spider?  how did it happen?

I was in LA.  I was at my friends house and was sleeping.  It was in my sweat pants.  My leg is 1000 times better but just last week I had an episode.  Which means I get a high fever the leg gets very hot and red.  The next morning I wake very sore from the fever and the leg swells up.  That has happened since 1998.  That is why the doctor wants to see whats up.  He says I still have an infection in the leg and he wants to see how to go about fixing it.  I may have to go to LA for tests.  He says if the tissue is infected there may be no way around it except to cut the infected tissue out.  I am really not into that but we'll see.  I just him to get my shot going again so I can start burning this shit off.  I have no problem with my strength coming back.  The funny thing is I have a suitcase here with pants that used to fit me really good.  My friend came over the other day and saw them in the closet and looked at them and said no way these fit you.  I said someday they will.  He is 6'2" 270 local guy strong as hell.  He tried them on and took them.  So I gotta get back.  I am sounding more like Vince all the time.
