Dude those are 2 nasty injuries to have! Especially the achilles. How does that treat ya now?
yeah they were. The quad tear was actually worse, far more painful in terms of physical therapy, surgery, restrengthening
The achilles tendon injury wasn't painful when it happen, in fact I thought the machine stand had broken not my tendon, after I stepped off the machine I tried to walk and the floor felt concave, looked down at my right calf and there was no tone, just flat.
No real issues now, it sometimes clicks in the area, its not quiet as strong as the other side, but I can still do two leg inverted calves raises with 12 45lb plates for about 10 reps, along with all types of plyos.
No problem with my quad tendon at all, in fact that side is stronger than the side that was never injuried.
I've seen people blow out their knees from lunging, seen people drop barbells on their chest from benching, tear shoulders, comes with the teritory when lifting aggressively
