"Hardcore" workout music
« on: December 20, 2006, 10:11:49 AM »
2007 is the year for bigger, better, and stronger workouts in the gym, and on the streets or track fields.  What I need from all the "hardcore" bodybuilding heads is a playlist of strictly top notch workout music.  From hip-hop/rap to old school rock&roll (i.e. Welcome to the Jungle/G&R), to deep drum & bass that pounds in your veins as you listen to it on the i-pod.  Hook me up!!!

I thank you in advance. 8)

You said it yourself! GNR welcome to the jungle
You can add some Metallica - and justice for all -
mix with Pantera - vulgar display of power (RIP Dimmebag)
a little Manowar - Kings of metal-
and that's it: Real hardcore music to hardcore training!!!!

I've had an iPOD nano for a year now and I've yet to take it out of the box. Was thinking of trying it for when I end up lifting by myself.

And moonspell right?

Only if you don't like music  :P

Anyway, if you like metal some of these more obscure albums are great for training

Amorphis  - Tales From the Thousand Lakes
Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal
Death - Sound of Perseverance
Exhorder - Slaughter in the Vatican
Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness
Lake of Tears - Forever Autumn
Judas Priest  - Painkiller
Usurper - Twilight Dominion

DUDE...playlist should look like this
DMX (first 2 albums)
Lil Wayne (that carter 2)
Rick ross
Xzibit
Rage against the machine (Battle for los angeles or evil empire)
T.i. (King)

Thats how you lift with rythm and get in a zone.

Moonspell is very good. From your post I would pic amorphis for Black winter days. Great music, I was hooked to it 10 years ago. The rest I would skip.

I love Amorphis, though these days I am more likely to put on some Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Trouble or any kind of heavy stuff to train.  Getting too old and fat to try and train fast to the likes of Slayer these days  :D
