Adonis, many times we are in an environment where voice communication is not practical

school, meeting, office, at the movies, on the bus/train comes to mind

also, may times we need information but don't want to engage in a full conversation

In europe cell calls are relatively expensive but text messaging is cheap as dirt

Your reliance of technology is laughable.  Thats not even current technology.  A Casio watch from the early 1980`s did the same thing.  If one of your main reasons to have this gadget is the fact that you can`t remember a simple birthday or two, then perhaps you need to take a look at yourself and try to better your own memory.  That is kind of sad.  Really.

I have a blackberry which I use for my company, its actually way better than pen and paper cause I go to the jobsite right out my contract, proposal and customer information on my blackberry.  this way I dont have to sit in front of my computer retyping shit I already wrote, my blackberry automatically backs the info up on my comp.

A laptop would be too bulky and doofy to bring to jobsites
