Palm Treo 650

anyone have one? i herd its better then the treo 680? Or what about the treo 700? Im going to get one just not sure if its the 650 or the 680.  :-\

The palm is actually shit.

I had the 650 and the 700.
 

Unless you are running palm software (i.e. medical programs, processors etc...) I would never suggest buying a palm.

The blackberry pearl is sick, and you save on data transferring, the camera is better too.

I just got the Blackberry Pearl and it is the best phone I have ever had.  Much better than the Palm.

I had the 650 and loved it. As soon as the 700wz came out with windows I upgraded to that and love it even more.

I have the 650 and it is a fine phone.  If you are familiar with the Windows OS then you should go with the 700 because windows is available on that phone.  The 650 is essentially the same phone though.

Adonis, don't fear technology embrace it.

many times you are on the go and would love to have full access to your contact list. Most of the PDA phones sync with out Outlook. Also having a QWERTY keyboard is great for text messaging. In all fairness I prefer texting to calling.

another cool feature is ability to sync google maps or ms live search maps to your contact your. Basicallyn: you can download maps and directions to your phone.

Also depending on your carrier's data package you can get on web. Granted that you don't want to surf the web for too long on this phones but in a pinch it will allow you to get info that you need.

I just installed the MS voice command on my phone...no more pressing buttons to dial someone.

A fucking planner at Wal-Mart for 2 dollars accomplishes the majority of those tasks.

That camera is a piece of shit at 1.3 meg pixels....Not even worth taking a picture.

Adonis, many times we are in an environment where voice communication is not practical

school, meeting, office, at the movies, on the bus/train comes to mind

also, may times we need information but don't want to engage in a full conversation

In europe cell calls are relatively expensive but text messaging is cheap as dirt
