Did the Bush speech last night make it clear - IRAN IS NEXT?
« on: January 11, 2007, 11:48:34 AM »
Sounded to me like iran is very close to being invaded.

I tell ya what, it sure would take people's minds off of iraq.
Heck, when is the last time you thought about Afghanistan?  We have a nice maintenance war there.
When/if we invade iran, the war in iraq will enter a 'holding pattern" like Afghanistan.

(Then eventually we will have a "holding pattern" in iran when we take on Syria)

ya know, this sounds like a really nice way to take over a region - invade, set up troops and a crippled govt, in 4 connected countries in 8 years.  it's hilarious to see history unfolding before our eyes and nobody even noticing :)

we notice..there's nothing to do but vote and hope the spineless democrats do what they said they'd do...other than that we are at the mercy of the elected govt...everyone knew the war was total BS and somehow this pinhead president got elected again...doesn't say much about our electorate now does it?

We are noticing, but we're a small voice in a huge population of sheeps. I don't see how Iraq can be just a push over like Afghanistan, afterall there's a lot more violence there. Iran would be a disaster of epic proportions, still you'll see asshole supporting war against them because they're a threat to world peace.  ::)

The American people have to step up and stop this shit from happening.

Amen, Camel.

Unfortunately, a large percentage of our electorate ain't that bright...and that's what the power elite have ensured by under- and 'misappropriately-funding' public education for decades.

Bush's ego is out of control and it's going to take a long time to undo some of the damage his regime has caused.

I think the Dems have a shot at winning the White House in '08, but because of the groundwork laid successfully by Bush during his term, the next Presidency is already doomed to failure.

I dunno if the damage Bush has done and will do can be fixed. Basically, it's gonna take someone with a mentality that most American are too stupid to have. Like you pointed out, even if the dems are take power they'll have a disaster on their hands.

It's hard to talk sense to most Americans when half of them still think Iraq had something to do with 9/11 LOL  ::)

The democrats can easily take office, repubs have no strong candidates whatsoever, and they are also not getting shit for press coverage. Americans are sheeple, if you tell them gay is good day in and day out on tv, they buy into it, if you tell them hillary clinton is our next prez, theyll  buy into it as well. Right now all I hear about is how the dems are going to take office, surely in 9 years we will be sick of them and be hearing about how repubs are going to take office and clean up and all that shit.

i take what i see off the net with a grain of salt.  i'm skeptical that way.  no one ever alters anything to suit their beliefs.  do they??

if that's true, when was that poll taken?  i don't believe that was recent.

Incredible.

FFS, if your country is attacked, shouldn't you at least know the nationality of those who committed the attack?

The basic facts?

I'm telling you 240 or Bust, those numbers are scary.

It is true, man. Maybe not for the more liberal and open minded states like NY or California, but what about states like South Carolina and Alabama? Those are some of the biggest Bush supporting states and they basically have an oversimplified understanding of everything in life, including the war on terror. To them we were attacked because people in the Middle East are jealous of freedom, yet these are same idiots that are supporters of the Patriot Act. When asked abou the justification of the Iraq war, these are the same idiots that'll tell you that battling insurgents in Iraq has to do with keep America safe. When you refute their arguements, they'll say it's about helping the Iraqi people. Even the most intelligent of people who support Bush has basically come out and said it's about securing resources(oil) for the United States, yet most Bush supporters still think there were WMDs in Iraq and think that they had something to do with 9/11.

Go drive down to one of those redneck states and ask a random about Iraq and I bet he'd be pretty clueless.

I don't doubt you for a second, there are a lot of redneck states in this country with a lot of stooooooped people in them. Why is that I wonder? Are there areas where people are just born stupid? Kinda like a gump effect? Or is there just less emphasis on education and reading at an early age?

They live in America. They should stop worrying about meth and NASCAR and educate themselves. You don't need an Ivy league education to be informed about what's going on, you have a responsibility to know when you live in the world's greatest and most powerful country.

Camel good point!!!!!  Rocky as far as our electorate well that is a whole other thread if you ask me.  I am not so sure we had a choice in either race!!!!!!!  Besides major questions about the machines and the way everything was tallied does anyone remember how all the major networks proclaimed Gore the winner in Florida, well with hours of voting time left on the west coast wouldnt that make Gore supporters less likely to go cast their vote?  When time was just about up they then changed it and said Bush had won Florida.  The timing had to be right on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Look into some of the documentaries about both election days and the way the vote is recorded and tallied.  Monster wtf????????
