chugging eggs rocky style?

how many of you drink your eggs? it seems so fast and convenient. is it safe?

also

does it matter how many eggs you eat per day?

I was never a fan of it, I like them cooked better. If someone could show me proof of a raw egg being more nutritious, I might change my mind.

the reason i would do it is cause its so damn quick, it takes me like 10-12 minutes to cook my eggs, standing there in front of the stove amking sure they dont burn, mixing them up, ect...it would be so much better just to break them into a glass and drink it in like 10 seconds

I think the protein in eggs is absorbed better cooked?  I think it's safe if you get good eggs, the chances of getting Salmonella aren't that high.

I've had raw eggs a few times, the only problem is they feel like snot running down your throat.  :-\

I can understand that. If someone on this thread can convince me, I'll give it a shot. Right now, I have it made cause I get them cooked for me at work, so it's not like I have to make any effort.

Vince Gironda said that eggs were the perfect alternative to anabolic steroids. Vince was a bit of a dick, but I think he was right to some degree. I have around 5 eggs a day (yolks and all), shit I have to, I have to get protein from somewhere as I don't eat meat. I don't cook them though, I add a few to rice milk with some chocolate ice cream and blend it up and add it to my cereal, bon appetite, damn, I should write for flex. Don't believe that eggs are bad for you, it's a bunch of crap.

No it's not safe for a variety of easons...and takeds biotin out of the system to break down raw eggs.

HOWEVER.....

There is an alternative...buy them from www.eggwhitesint.com (egg whites international)

They are 100% pure liquid egg whites that have been double filtered and heat pasturized...safe to drink and good to eat...taste like egg whites.

It only takes biotin out of the system if you're eating egg whites only.  I take a biotin with my shake along with some extra digestive enzymes to break down the protein... There is virtually zero chance of getting salmonella from free range organic chicken eggs.  You have a better chance getting it from a salad prepped unsafely around raw chicken than ever getting it from eggs. Even eating raw eggs from a big commercial producer the chances of getting ill is extremely low.

thanks for the input bob, but i have a couple questions:
1. what is 'biotin' and how is this bad?
2. how much does it cost from that company...one of the main reasons i eat so many eggs is that i can get an 18-pack right across the street for less than 2 dollars, would this company be just as cheap and convenient?

You're eating egg yolks so you don't have to worry about losing biotin.

yep, CostCo usually has a great price of it


protein pancakes: (about 3 or 4 pancakes
1/2 cup egg white
2 scope whey protein
1 banana
1.5 scoop of oatmeal
1 spoon of peanut butter

mix in blender for 2 minutes
fry with pam cooking spray
