yes i agree, but my whole point was when dude has his hands on the bar you cant be sure what someone is actually lifting and the lift doesnt count. DJ's lifts do not count as repping with 485, the guy was obviously lifting there, he did 4 reps and the first three looked like 225 from the speed of the bar. why the f**k would you need a spot from the first rep if you could get four reps.

dennis james is a true professional of the highest caliber. He knows what he can lift and hes a strong motherF_er too. In bfto 2004 he was incline benching in a smith with 315 and on his 10th and last rep when he attempts to lock it it slipped and he caught it half way no prob. check that out. talk about failure. that spotter isnt doing shit.

According to the hardcore folks around here using a spotter is cheating so regardless of the stress relieved by the spotter the rep doesn't count as quality.
