Local Bodybuilder ‘rubs triceps’ at 2006 Mr OlympiaJohn Thompson, a former Junior Mr Cayman and Mr Cayman, has just returned from the 2006 Mr. Olympia event in Las Vegas, Nevada in October 2006.
Attending the event purely as an enthusiastic sports fan and avid bodybuilder, Mr Thompson ‘rubbed triceps’ with the sport’s most renowned and respected professional bodybuilders.
Amongst the people he met were Caribbean bodybuilder Darren Charles from Trinidad and Tobago, who is ranked in the top six in professional bodybuilding in the world, current Mr Olympia Jay Cutler, former Mr Olympia Ronnie Coleman and former bodybuilder and television star Lou Ferrigno star of The Incredible Hulk.
“It was a wonderful experience to meet some of the world’s greatest bodybuilders and icons in the sport,” commented Mr. Thompson, “I encourage younger Caymanian bodybuilders to attend these events and see what commitment, dedication and sacrifices need to be made to become the best at what you do.”
