I was gonna chirp in with Matarazzo, but it's too easy.  Who had shitty calf's as an armature and improved as a pro?  That's a tuff one for sure, but I'd say Chick.  He had little ones as an NPC athlete and now like magic......BAM ???

Arnold was so discussed with his calf development, he'd cut his sweats to show how small they were as inspiration to work extra hard to improve them and he did!

There is a guy here who just mved from LA and his calves are crazy looking.  It is so clear he injects them.  He'll literally walk around the gym with shit leaking out each calf.  I don't know if he notices or not but he has done it several times.  WHat a joke

One of my favorite calf pics...
The dude on the left is up-an-coming Erik Fankenhouser (sp??), who has ridiculous sized legs.  
The dude on the right is the guy who won the overall at Team U in 2006 and went pro...can't recall his name.

I prefer Yates calves over Matarazzo due to the much lower insertion point, and also size.
